Release list
Attend v1.0.6
What's new
- Custom meditation presets — create named presets with any duration and optional interval bell; manage them via the three-dots menu
- Notification lag fix — pause/resume button in the notification bar now responds instantly
- Stable timer UI — dial no longer shifts when starting, stopping, or pausing a session
- Pause/resume animation — brief smooth scale pulse on the dial when pausing or resuming
- Visual polish — larger "paused" label inside the dial
v1.0.5
Gatha Title Redundancy Resolution
- Hides the auto-generated ellipsis titles on the Home screen's daily card, showing just the poem text and attribution for a cleaner look.
- Replaces auto-generated titles with dynamic, clean category headers (e.g.,
"Dhammapada Verse","Stoic Reflection","Taoist Reflection") in the Library list and Detail view. - Optimizes copying so that copying a poem without a real title does not duplicate the first sentence.
Custom Meditation Timers Update
- Added full management UI (create, edit, delete) for custom meditation timers with interval bell options and customizable sounds.
- Removed the open-ended session (infinity/
∞) capability from the custom timers. - Resolved the 18px horizontal layout overflow in the sound selection dropdown.
Attend v1.0.4
What's new
Expanded Wisdom Library (70 → 289 gathas)
Added 219 new public domain and CC0-licensed wisdom texts across five traditions:
- Buddhist — Dhammapada (F. Max Müller), Therigatha (Bhikkhu Sujato, CC0), Sutta Nipata including the Metta Sutta, Mangala Sutta, and Horned Rhino Sutta (Bhikkhu Sujato, CC0)
- Stoic — Marcus Aurelius Meditations, Epictetus Enchiridion & Golden Sayings, Seneca Letters to Lucilius
- Taoist — Tao Te Ching (James Legge), Zhuangzi (Herbert Giles)
- Confucian — Confucian Analects (James Legge)
- Hindu — Bhagavad Gita / The Song Celestial (Edwin Arnold)
All new texts are pre-1928 public domain translations or CC0-licensed. No code changes — the existing gatha library and repository load them automatically.
Attend v1.0.3
What's new
- Timer duration chips — the delete (×) button no longer overlaps the chip tap area; they are now separate touch zones so you can select or remove a duration without accidentally triggering the wrong action
- Bell sound switching — notifications now guarantee the correct sound plays when you change the bell sound in settings; the alarm receiver creates the audio channel natively as a fallback, fixing cases where the Flutter-side channel creation failed silently
Attend v1.0.2
What's new
Mindfulness bells now work indefinitely without opening the app
The bell scheduler has been rebuilt from the ground up using a native Kotlin sentinel pattern — the same approach used by apps like Google Calendar.
How it works: When you enable bells, the app pre-schedules 30 days of alarms via Android's AlarmManager and arms a sentinel alarm 25 days out. When the sentinel fires (natively, no Flutter required), it reads your settings from SharedPreferences, schedules the next 30 days, and re-arms itself. This chain runs forever.
Previous issue: Bells relied on WorkManager to re-schedule daily, which Samsung One UI aggressively suppresses — causing bells to stop after 1–2 days.
Other fixes
- Bells reschedule on app open (self-heal if anything was missed)
- Disabling bells, changing sound, or changing frequency all cancel and rebuild the schedule immediately
- Removed 4 unused meditation sounds
- Removable duration and interval chips in the timer picker
