Breaking

• hw-link-audit, hw-symbol-sync and hw-footprint-sync are removed. Use the global kicad-link-audit, kicad-symbol-sync and kicad-footprint-sync skills from kicad-workspace.
  If you copied the hw-* versions into a project, delete them and install the global ones.

• Install the skills as a Claude Code plugin: /plugin marketplace add Natchpai/Hardware-Copilot, then /plugin install hardware-copilot@hardware-copilot.

Changed

• README rewritten in plain English, with Requirements, Install, Contributing and License sections. Skill status uses four labels (Stable, Used, Tested, Untested).
• .claude/settings.json: no longer asks before symbol, footprint, library/ and STEP edits; schematic, PCB and .kicad_pro edits ask first; git push and gh pr create now ask first. protect.json is unchanged and still asks for all file patterns it lists.

Tests

• Schematic synthetic 21/21 and PCB synthetic 31/31 passed (Python 3.14.7, Windows). CI passed on main.
• Golden tests were not re-run.
