Model catalog
- Supports the 60-model catalog (2026.11.02). Onboarding and the model
browser now follow the catalog's per-device recommendations for phones,
laptops, desktops and gaming rigs, falling back to smaller bands when a
pick does not fit the device's memory. - Recommendations only name models the device can actually run. Previously
a 32 GB Windows or Linux PC could be recommended an experimental model it
could not download. - Phones no longer offer a download for models that cannot fit in memory;
the card shows TOO LARGE and the memory the smallest package needs. - Recommendations list official/stable models first, then experimental
packages, then uncensored (reduced-safety) community builds. Uncensored
builds are labelled UNCENSORED and ask for confirmation before
download in onboarding and the model browser. Experimental packages are
labelled. - Models whose only package needs a runtime this build does not include
(such as the PrismML llama.cpp fork) are hidden instead of failing after
download. - Importing a GGUF that uses a quantization type the bundled runtimes cannot
load (for example Q2_0) is refused up front. On Windows and Linux the
TurboQuant runtime would otherwise misread such a file. - Desktop: the download row no longer overflows for models that support GPU
offload.
Voice
- Two new local speech engines in Settings → Voice, running on sherpa-onnx:
Parakeet (NVIDIA Parakeet TDT 0.6B v3, about 670 MB, 25 European
languages with punctuation) and Moonshine (Tiny or Base, about
120–290 MB, English only, sized for phones). Each download is pinned to an
immutable revision and checked byte-for-byte against its SHA-256 before
use. - Automatic keeps the existing default — on-device system speech first —
and, where that is unavailable, uses the best downloaded model for the
device and language: Parakeet on laptops, desktops, gaming rigs and 12 GB+
phones, then Whisper (Moonshine for English on phones). - Choosing Parakeet, Moonshine, Whisper or System speech explicitly always
wins when it can run. When it cannot (not downloaded, wrong language), the
recording falls back to Automatic and the Transcribe screen says why,
instead of failing. - Parakeet and Moonshine recordings are split by voice activity, so saved
transcripts carry per-utterance timecodes. Decoding runs off the UI thread
and Cancel stops it immediately. - The bundled sherpa-onnx and ONNX Runtime libraries add about 25 MB on
iOS, 27 MB per Android ABI and 55 MB to the universal macOS app.

Changes
Sign-in
- Stay signed in: the app adopts the gateway's rotating refresh sessions and
renews the access token in the background before it expires, instead of
signing you out after 24 hours. Existing logins upgrade once, silently. - Network errors, timeouts, rate limits and gateway errors no longer sign you
out or clear account, organization or entitlement data. When a session
cannot be renewed safely, Settings shows Sign in again and keeps your
local data. - A suspended account is signed out with a suspension message instead of
"session expired". - Sign-out revokes the session on the gateway, and says so when revocation
could not be confirmed (for example while offline). - Signing out or switching accounts mid-request can no longer show the
previous account's data. - Session credentials live in an app-specific Keychain/Keystore namespace,
excluded from Android backups and device transfer. - Android: launch no longer hangs when Android recreates the app in a process
the background-serving service kept alive. - Gateway requests identify the platform (Android, iOS or desktop), so the
account activity log shows where you signed in.
Builds and releases
- Push a
v*tag matchingpubspec.yamlto publish a GitHub Release: signed
Play Store APK + App Bundle and dApp Store APK (certificates verified), Windows
and Linux packages, a release manifest and SHA-256 checksums, with notes taken
from this changelog. macOS joins once CI signing is configured. - CI scans the git history for secrets and builds every platform again: Apple
builds use Xcode 26+ (needed for on-device transcription), the generated
Swift package is pinned to iOS 17 / macOS 14, Linux installs the GStreamer
and app-indicator libraries, the Android NDK install no longer fails, and the
Windows TurboQuant runtime install is completed whenflutter buildstops
early. - Apple CI builds install Xcode's separately shipped Metal toolchain, which
the on-device MLX runtime needs to compile its GPU shaders. - The Android TurboQuant cross-compile no longer stops on a fresh checkout.
- The Linux and Windows runtime checks no longer depend on
llama-server --versionoutput, which reports this repository's commit instead of
TurboQuant's; the pinned source is still verified by checksum. - Failed build steps repeat their errors as workflow annotations, readable
without signing in to GitHub. - Android release builds are shrunk and obfuscated with R8 again (it was
turned off when the store flavors were added, which Play Console flagged as
1% obfuscation). The App Bundle carries its mapping file, and each GitHub
Release attaches the mapping files for the APKs.
