Tunniq 2.0.2 (Beta)

This release adds an optional AI assistant, background file transfers and a new two-pane file manager. It's marked beta while the new features get real-world use. Everything that worked in 2.0.1 works the same way.

New

  • AI side chat: ask about errors, commands or config right next to your terminal. Bring your own key for Claude, Gemini, or any OpenAI-compatible service (OpenAI, OpenRouter, a local Ollama). It's off until you add a key.
  • AI Read Files mode: allow a server folder, tick the files the AI may read, and review its suggested edits as a diff. Nothing is written until you click Replace all, the originals are backed up, and Undo restores them.
  • Drag-and-drop uploads: drop files or whole folders onto the SFTP panel. The new Transfers tray shows progress, speed and time left, and uploads keep running after you close the panel.
  • Two-pane Files view: your computer on one side, the server on the other. Drag between them to upload or download.
  • Know who you are on the server: the Files view shows your user, a ROOT badge when you're root, your sudo status, and whether you can write in the current folder before you try.
  • Android: the AI chat, plus Upload many for background multi-file uploads with progress.

Privacy

No telemetry, same as always. AI requests go straight from your device to the provider you pick, using your own key, which is stored encrypted on your device. The AI only sees terminal output when you tick the box, and only the files you select in folders you allow.
