HappyHerd 1.2.4
HappyHerd Release 1.2.4 (happyherd-v1.2.4)
From Athena:
This installer release is 1.2.4 and points to reviewed HappyHerd main commit 189c504b5ab16eea7fa16e3c2fb33e98d147390d, following the stable happyherd-v1.2.3 release. The bundled @happyherd/cli remains version 1.2.3; the 1.2.4 number identifies this installer release. The native release workflow publishes four prepared archives for macOS (arm64/x64) and Linux (arm64/x64).
Install with curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/NickGuAI/HappyHerd/main/install.sh | sh; see the public launcher release guide for supported targets and upgrade behavior. Native graphical macOS, iOS, Android apps, and npm publication are outside this release's scope.
User-Visible Changes Since 1.2.3
-
Workspace and Mobile
- Unchanged chat images now stay visible during chat updates.
- The mobile Web PDF reader pages fit the viewport and support zoom, pinch, pan, page navigation, download, and fit reset.
- Users can now delete individual files and folders with a confirmation step.
- The mobile composer is optimized to remain consistently positioned above the browser chrome.
-
Credentials and Provider Continuity
- Settings > Credentials & Accounts manages named Claude, Codex, and Grok accounts alongside encrypted labeled credentials.
- Claude browser authorization accepts its one-time code.
- Claude login code submission handles broken inputs for retry and prevents infinite looping on terminal redraws.
- Quota rejection during account rotation preserves interrupted queued work.
- Named-account transitions preserve native provider sessions, homes, and conversation histories.
-
Automation
- Scheduled launches rejected before a provider process starts are recorded as failed so that subsequent scheduled ticks can run.
- Uncertain starts remain active to protect against duplicate processes.
-
Plans and Questions
- Supported ACP plan snapshots appear in the conversation and compact tool display.
- Question forms accept written answers and retain real approval controls for payloads that cannot render. (Note: Complete Codex native question transport and the full restored-plan lifecycle remain unfinished and are not included in this release.)
-
Forks, Side Chats, and Chat Input
- Forked and duplicated Claude or Codex sessions now retain the parent permission mode and Commander.
- New side chats inherit the parent Commander and provider permission policy unless an explicit child mode is selected.
- Web chat conforms to the system mouse/trackpad scroll direction and preserves horizontal and Shift-wheel behaviors.
HappyHerd 1.2.3
From Athena:
This release includes PR 269 at merged commit 62fd96f604bc176251ab5ce9ec0b27a281166d10.
- Persistent Assistant: Updated authenticated daemons automatically create the persistent HappyHerd Assistant after a supported provider is available. The same Assistant session remains pinned, and restarts/retries reuse its ID. Existing Commander definitions are retained.
- Session & Delegation: New local session create, send, and inspect commands use the existing machine login so the Assistant can delegate to a selected Commander and workspace. Account-control Link New Device remains a separate native-app-only UI; local Assistant commands do not need it.
- Installation & Upgrades: Upgrading uses the existing install command. Fresh noninteractive installs still require
happyherd auth loginandhappyherd daemon start. Choose menu option 2 Web Browser for link-based terminal pairing. On a phone, open the printed link in signed-in Safari when it points to your reachable remote server; a localhost URL refers to the phone itself. - Validation Status: All four prepared installer build/smoke tests, required PR checks, and merged main quality/contract checks passed.
HappyHerd 1.2.2
HappyHerd 1.2.2
Prepared runtime archives for macOS (arm64/x64) and Linux (arm64/x64). The installer downloads and extracts the runtime without preinstalled Node, npm, pnpm, Bun, a compiler, sudo, or TMPDIR workarounds.
Installation
To connect to an existing server, replace the URL below with its address:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/NickGuAI/HappyHerd/main/install.sh | sh -s -- --server https://YOUR_SERVERWithout --server, the installer uses your saved choice or defaults to a local server. Approve the normal account-pairing request to connect the machine.
Fixes and verification
- Preserve the existing PGlite Bytes patch in packaged dependencies.
- Select the shipped Prisma engine on Linux, including verified Amazon Linux 2023 startup.
- Verify all four targets through the public installer, real CLI pairing, encrypted daemon RPC, installer-owned daemon restart, retained account/machine identity and encrypted server-side history, and a subsequent persisted message.
- Verify uninstall preserves user state.
