Unable to download SharpDx

When trying to download SharpDx via the Options > Extras, I get an error message like this one:

The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.

This usually happens because you can't access the download link due to some restrictions by your network provider. (The file is stored inside GitHub, which may be blocked)
