ImagePickerAndroid — October 3, 2026

This release brings major dependency updates, improvements to image and video processing, better camera permission handling, fixes for image orientation and background processing, and updated documentation.

✨ What's New

• Improved Multi-Image Conversion — Added a multi-bitmap model and a generic method for converting multiple URIs to bitmaps, with the new approach applied to multi-image selection.
• Improved Image Conversion — Refined URI-to-bitmap conversion and the getUriFromBitmap method.
• Improved Video Handling — Added additional error handling around single-video picking methods.
• Improved Camera Permission Handling — Refined camera permission handling for single-photo capture and addressed an Activity context crash during permission requests.

🔧 Improvements & Fixes

• Fixed issues with single-image selection and Base64 image handling.
• Fixed issues with TakeSingleCameraImageWithBase64Value and PickSingleImageWithBase64Value.
• Updated Base64 encoding to use the NO_WRAP flag.
• Fixed issues in camera and multiple-image handling.
• Moved bitmap conversion away from the main thread and fixed issues with returning processed data to the UI.
• Replaced the URLs list with decoded URIs where required.
• Made some variables private and removed unused imports.

🐛 Image & Compatibility Fixes

• Fixed an issue where images could appear sideways on API < 28.
• Changed the date pattern format to avoid image overwriting.
• Included additional minor fixes.
