GucciBot 2.0.0-beta.2
Pre-releaseGucciBot 2.0.0-beta.2
This is basically 2.0. It's finished, it's been run in-game, and it's colder than a freezer full of chains. The beta tag only stays on while the rollout gets made (a release video, the promo, one last polish), because a drop this icy deserves a real launch, not a quiet tag at 2am. Brrr.
1.8 is still the stable release if you'd rather wait for the big one.
Pathfinder — The default engine is now Absense's pathfinder, by Absent, ported in whole. Before every click it runs copies of you ahead through the level (Silicate's physics for portals, orbs, pads and dashes, and a model of the level's own triggers), plays the idea that lasts, and goes back when a way dead-ends. It learns each level as it goes, so searching one again is quicker. GucciBot's own addition: in ship, wave, UFO and swing it also tries holding you at a spread of heights, which is what gets a ship through a tight gap. It beats full levels with flying parts the old engine couldn't. Start it from wherever you are, straight from the pause menu, or from the very beginning (the new Start from the beginning switch). The old engine is still in the tab as Classic.
Recording — A tap while you're already holding is a release, a press and a release in the same tick, and the last release was being thrown away as a "duplicate", so the replay stayed held and died. Every input is kept now, when recording and when loading a macro.
Backwards Stepping — A step back lands exactly one frame back, with the frame counter matching where you are. The first step used to jump two, and Prevent Death landed a tick early.
ToastyReplay Lite — No longer required. GucciBot only stands down if it's enabled at the same time.
Assistant Access — New tools for checking the game: compare the pathfinder's simulation with the real game, record two runs and find the first tick they differ, open a level, restart the game.
Everything from 2.beta.1 is in here too.
