There are two files that need to be edited before being able to use this software.

culturecode.conf

Here are the keys that are available.

rules

This specifies which rule file to use for the game. There is a sample.conf that has some default rules to try out the features of this game. See Configurations for more details on how to configure the game.

server_host

This specifies the IP address of the server. In Windows, run ipconfig and find your IP address. In GNU/Linux, run ifconfig. If you have a domain name, you can also specify that.

server_port

The port that the server should use. Normally, you can leave this the default value unless you have a different application using that port. In GNU/Linux, you can check this with:

netstat -an | grep PORT_NUMBER_YOU_WANT_TO_USE

.

client.js

This file can be found in the client directory of the repository. Change the part where it says:

var socket = io.connect('http://localhost:3000');

to match the IP address and the port number stated in the culturecode.conf.

This is all you need to do for this file. Copy the content of the client directory to a publicly-accessibly location (using a HTTP server).
