Simulcast Utility Suite v1.0.2
This release improves receiver configuration imports and refresh behavior.
Fixed
- Fixed an installer validation issue that prevented valid
receivers.jsonfiles containing multiple receivers from being imported. - Improved validation of receiver IDs, names, numeric hardware IDs, and IPv4 addresses during setup.
Receiver Refresh Improvements
- Refresh All now refreshes eligible receivers concurrently instead of processing them one at a time.
- Offline receiver timeouts no longer hold up refreshes for receivers that are available.
- Starting Refresh All during an individual refresh skips that receiver and refreshes the remaining eligible receivers.
- Individual refreshes no longer disable or delay Refresh All.
- Refresh All temporarily disables individual refresh actions until it completes.
- Individual refresh cooldowns are tracked separately for each receiver.
- Refresh All retains its independent cooldown to prevent repeated bulk refresh requests.

Application settings
The Settings page allows users to configure notification duration, log retention, log level, receiver storage, plugin storage, and plugin-data storage. Most changes are applied immediately without restarting the application.
Settings are saved per user by default. When the application is running as an administrator, workstation-wide defaults can also be configured.
Plugins
Plugins can be imported from a single DLL, a collection of DLL files, or a ZIP archive. Installed plugins can provide new interface elements, receiver actions, application themes, settings, storage, logging, and argument handling.
Plugins can be enabled, disabled, refreshed, configured, and removed through the Manage Plugins page. Visit the project wiki for plugin-development instructions and API examples.
Installation
- Download
SimulcastUtilitySetup.exefrom the GitHub Releases page. - Run the installer.
- Select whether the application should be installed for the current user or the entire workstation.
- Optionally import an existing
receivers.jsonconfiguration. - Launch Simulcast Utility Suite from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.
The installer publishes a self-contained Windows x64 application, so a separate .NET installation is not required.
Known considerations
- Receiver discovery requires the computer and receivers to be accessible across the configured network.
- Firewall rules, routing, or receiver response times may affect discovery and command execution.
- Receiver EPG responses may vary depending on receiver software and available broadcast information.
- Third-party plugins run inside the application and should only be installed from trusted sources.
- Checking for updates requires an active internet connection and access to GitHub.
