KB Downloader Release v0.1

We are excited to announce the release of KB Downloader v0.1! This release provides a precompiled Windows binary that allows you to easily search for and download Windows updates (KBs) from the Microsoft Update Catalog without the need for any installation process.

How to Use

Using KB Downloader is straightforward. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Download the Executable: Go to the Releases section of our GitHub repository.

  2. Download KB.Downloader.exe: Locate the release version you want to use and download the KB.Downloader.exe executable file associated with that release.

  3. Run the Application: Double-click the downloaded KB.Downloader.exe to launch the application.

  4. Enter KB Numbers: When prompted, input the KB numbers or update names you want to download, separated by commas. For example, you can enter KB123456, KB789012 or Update Name 1, Update Name 2.

  5. Specify Download Directory: Enter the directory where you want the updates to be saved.

  6. Start Downloading: The application will automatically search for the specified updates, fetch download links, and start downloading them to the specified directory.

  7. Enjoy: Sit back and relax while KB Downloader takes care of the rest!

Requirements

  • An active internet connection is required to fetch download links from the Microsoft Update Catalog.

Note

  • Make sure to have Chrome installed on your system, as the application uses Selenium with ChromeDriver for web scraping.

  • The application does not require any installation; it's a standalone executable.
