What's new

  • Three build channels (stable / experimental / dev) so upcoming changes can be tried in a real installed build before they ship — this Editor-free public build is the stable channel.
  • Duplicate-VOD detection — pasting a VOD that's already in your project switches to it instead of adding a second copy.
  • Rolling project backups — every save keeps a snapshot of the previous version (10 kept), restorable from Project → Version history.
  • Auto-update checking — checks this feed on launch, plus a "Check for updates" button in Settings → Diagnostics. Downloads and installs only ever happen with an explicit click.
  • Audio-based sync cross-check — POV timing is now corroborated by matching audio between angles automatically, with a manual "Re-validate" action per POV.
  • Every export now states which encoder it actually used (hardware or software), and AV1 sources can export as real AV1 when hardware support is available.
  • Hardware-accelerated encoding (NVENC/QSV/AMF) is confirmed as the default whenever it's available and working, with automatic software fallback.

Notes

  • Unsigned build — Windows SmartScreen will warn on first run ("More info" → "Run anyway"). Per-user install, no admin rights needed.
  • Requires internet access on first launch to fetch FFmpeg and yt-dlp if not already present.
