Wat is nieuw in v2.4.0

Nieuw

• Digitale handtekeningen controleren: een balk boven de pagina toont per handtekening of die geldig is, of het certificaat bekend is en of het document na het ondertekenen nog is gewijzigd. Het detailvenster toont de certificaatketen en het tijdstempel, en Toon ondertekende versie opent het document zoals het ondertekend is. Voor het opslaan van een ondertekend document vraagt de app eerst om bevestiging.
• Tekst herkennen (OCR): maak gescande pagina's doorzoekbaar en kopieerbaar. Het gereedschap herkent de tekst op de huidige pagina of in het hele document en voegt een onzichtbare tekstlaag toe. Kies de taal: automatisch, Engels, Traditioneel Chinees of een combinatie.
• Leesmodus: zet Leesmodus aan op het tabblad Beeld en een PDF gaat bij het volgende openen verder op dezelfde pagina, scrollpositie en zoom. De positie wordt als klein bestand naast de PDF bewaard; de inhoud van het document blijft onaangeroerd.
• Kruis in ronde sparingen: cirkels en ellipsen kunnen nu ook een kruis krijgen, in de stijl van de omtrek en meedraaiend met de vorm.
• Maatlijn op lengte slepen: typ tijdens het slepen van een eindpunt van een maatlijn, lijn of pijl een lengte en druk op Enter. De lijn krijgt precies die lengte in de eenheid en schaal van de maatlijn; het andere eindpunt en de richting blijven gelijk. Escape wist de invoer.

Verbeterd

• Pagina-instelling bij afdrukken: de oriëntatie en het papierformaat volgen nu het document (een liggende tekening opent liggend), en de gekozen instelling wordt ook echt aan de printer doorgegeven. Nieuw zijn de keuzes Standaard van de printer en A2. Het vinkje Automatisch draaien wordt nu ook bij het afdrukken toegepast.
• Afdrukken op het gekozen papier (#406): kies je A3 of een ander formaat in de Pagina-instelling of in Printereigenschappen, dan wordt daar nu ook echt op afgedrukt. Voorheen viel de printer terug op zijn standaardpapier, meestal A4. Het printvenster toont voortaan op welk papier wordt afgedrukt.
• Gescande boeken met maskers: pagina's met gemaskeerde afbeeldingen (veel gescande boeken) verschenen als grijs of donker vlak, ook in de miniaturen. Ze worden nu correct weergegeven (#415).
• Pannen met de middelste muisknop werkt bij elk gereedschap, ook bij Selectie en naast of tussen de pagina's, in plaats van het automatisch scrollen te starten (#397).
• Lijnkleur en lijndikte op symbolen: de keuzes uit de opmaakwerkbalk worden nu ook op symbolen toegepast, inclusief ongedaan maken en opnieuw doen (#398).
• Gedraaide vormen behouden hun maat: gedraaide cirkels, ellipsen, rechthoeken, maskeervlakken en parametrische symbolen werden bij elke keer opslaan en heropenen groter. Dat is opgelost; al vergrote vormen groeien niet verder.
• Tweede selectierechthoek werkt weer: na een eerste selectierechthoek selecteerde een volgende niets meer. Klikken in een leeg deel van de pagina heft nu de selectie op.
• Het vinkje Kruis in het eigenschappenpaneel staat nu uitgelijnd in de waardekolom.

What's New in v2.4.0

New

• Verify digital signatures: a bar above the page shows for each signature whether it is valid, whether the certificate is known and whether the document was changed after signing. The details window shows the certificate chain and the timestamp, and Show signed version opens the document as it was signed. Before saving a signed document the app asks for confirmation.
• Recognize Text (OCR): make scanned pages searchable and copyable. The tool recognizes the text on the current page or in the whole document and adds an invisible text layer. Choose the language: automatic, English, Traditional Chinese or a combination.
• Reader Mode: turn on Reader Mode in the View tab and a PDF reopens at the same page, scroll position and zoom. The position is stored as a small file next to the PDF; the document content is left untouched.
• Cross in round openings: circles and ellipses can now carry a cross as well, in the style of the outline and rotating with the shape.
• Dimension line to length while dragging: while dragging an endpoint of a dimension line, line or arrow, type a length and press Enter. The line gets exactly that length in the dimension's unit and scale; the other endpoint and the direction stay the same. Escape clears the input.

Improved

• Page Setup when printing: orientation and paper size now follow the document (a landscape drawing opens in landscape), and the chosen setting actually reaches the printer. New options: Printer default and A2. The Auto-rotate checkbox is now applied when printing.
• Printing on the chosen paper (#406): when you choose A3 or another size in Page Setup or in Printer Properties, the job now actually prints on it. Previously the printer fell back to its default paper, usually A4. The Print dialog now shows which paper will be used.
• Scanned books with masks: pages with masked images (common in scanned books) showed up as a grey or dark sheet, also in the thumbnails. They now render correctly (#415).
• Middle-mouse panning works with every tool, including Select and beside or between pages, instead of starting auto-scroll (#397).
• Line color and line width on symbols: the choices from the formatting toolbar are now applied to symbols too, including undo and redo (#398).
• Rotated shapes keep their size: rotated circles, ellipses, rectangles, mask areas and parametric symbols grew every time they were saved and reopened. Fixed; shapes that already grew do not grow any further.
• Second selection rectangle works again: after a first selection rectangle, the next one selected nothing. Clicking an empty part of the page now clears the selection.
• The Cross checkbox in the properties panel is now aligned in the value column.
