Highlights

  • Fixed conversion of multispectral and thermal OpenDroneMap models: their 16 bit and float TIFF textures now load instead of failing the Splitting stage.
  • Wide-sample reflectance textures are now tone mapped with a shared percentile stretch matching DroneDB's bm3d output, so they no longer render black.
  • 8 bit texture handling is unchanged; only multispectral TIFFs take the new reader.

Added / Changed

  • Added LibTiff.Net 2.4.660 (BSD 3-Clause) as the reader for TIFFs with 16 bit or float samples (gray or RGB) and RGB TIFFs with fewer than three 8 bit samples; every other image is still read by ImageSharp, so 8 bit textures are unchanged.
  • Added tone mapping of wide samples to 8 bits by a linear stretch from the 2nd to the 98th percentile of non-zero samples; zeros (texels no photo covers) stay black, a flat texture spans the full range of its type. One stretch per model, kept across LODs and the root tile and shared by the channels of an RGB texture; normal maps are never tone mapped; same mapping as the bm3d builder of DroneDB, so both outputs look alike.
  • Changed repack to keep the source format only when a glTF can carry it; a TIFF source now repacks to PNG (lossless), since the Tiling stage could not embed a .tif atlas.
  • [CI] Added THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md with the LibTiff.Net licence, now shipped with the release assets.

Fixed

  • Fixed the Splitting stage failing on every multispectral or thermal OpenDroneMap model, whose textures are single-band 16 bit integer or 32 bit float TIFFs that ImageSharp rejects.
  • Fixed reflectance textures left black by ImageSharp's type-range scaling, now replaced by the shared percentile stretch above.
