v1.11.0: a new homepage, one list for your tables, and datasets with a draft stage
✨ Highlights
- A new homepage and a consistent look: The start page is redesigned and introduces the platform's integrated workflows. Pages across the platform now share one set of buttons, forms, cards, tables, tabs and page headers, and the browser's own pop-ups are replaced by one confirmation dialog. A new What's new page, linked from the homepage, shows what changed for users.
- All your tables in one list: The tables tab of your profile dashboard shows drafts and published tables together, with search, filters, sorting and the date each table was created and last changed. From a table's ⋯ menu you can publish, unpublish or delete it and add it to one of your datasets. Select several tables to do the same to all of them at once, or to share them with one of your organizations.
- Manage access in place: A side drawer in the tables tab shows who can access a table and lets you change it. The table's permission page and a new REST API (
/api/v0/tables/<name>/permissions/) follow the same rules, and a table always keeps at least one person with Admin. - Groups become organizations: User groups are now organizations. Their members and table permissions are carried over.
- Datasets start as drafts: A new dataset is a draft, visible only to you, until you publish it. The new datasets tab of your dashboard creates, edits, publishes and deletes your datasets and manages their tables, and the Dataset REST API can do the same. Existing datasets stay published.
- Security fixes: Changing your account's email address now asks for your password again. Profile pages are visible only to their owner. Only a review's reviewer or a platform admin can delete a peer review. Saved table views can be created or changed only by someone with write permission on the table.
- Bug Fixes & General Improvements: Uploading rows through the API is faster. The metadata editor no longer hangs on columns with very long annotation lists. The table page no longer stores a new saved view on every visit. After a deploy, browsers load the new stylesheets and scripts instead of last release's.
Model and framework factsheets: tags cleaned up
Until v1.10.0, saving a model or framework factsheet could attach every tag on the platform to it, because the tag editor pre-selected all tags. Since v1.10.0 the editor selects exactly the factsheet's own tags, and the factsheet lists load in well under a second again. The 24 factsheets that had been saved while the bug was live (22 models, 2 frameworks) carried hundreds of tags that had nothing to do with them. We removed those tag lists on 2026-09-30. Because the real tags could not be told apart from the wrong ones, these factsheets were left with no tags:

If you maintain one of them, please open it and add its tags again; it takes a minute in the editor. If you need the tags it had before the bug, contact us: an older backup may still hold them.
