Es ergeben sich hohe Anforderungen an die Szenarien-Daten in Bezug auf Umfang, Komplexität, Qualität und Transparenz. Ein aktueller Arbeitsschwerpunkt ist die Erstellung einer Ontologie der Energiesystemmodellierungs-Domäne, die Open Energy Ontology (OEO). Was ist das Open Energy Steering Committee (OEO-SC)?

Um die Entwicklung der Ontologie zu begleiten, den Bekanntheitsgrad zu erhöhen sowie bestehenden und geplanten Arbeiten einzubinden, wurde ein Lenkungsausschuss berufen: Das OEO Steering Committee (OEO-SC). Regelmäßige, kurzen Telefonkonferenzen sowie persönliche Treffen (z.B. auf bereits geplanten Veranstaltungen) werden zur Weitergabe von Informationen über geplante und erledigte Aufgaben genutzt.. Ein kontinuierlicher Austausch zwischen den Ontologie-Entwickelnden und des OEO-SC erfolgt direkt über GitHub.

Wer ist beteiligt am OEO-SC?

Organisiert wird das Steering Committee vom Projektteam des Forschungsprojektes SzenarienDB und moderiert von Ludwig Hülk (RLI). Die Mitglieder sind:

What is an Ontology?

In energy system analysis increasingly complex models and model networks are used. This results in demanding requirements in regard to scenario data, especially with respect to quality, transparency, complexity and scope. A current focus in our work is the creation of an ontology for the energy modelling domain - the Open Energy Ontology (OEO). This system of terms and concepts, which is used in a range of projects, serves as a base for identifying, discussing, harmonizing and documenting definitions of words, generally used terminologies and abbreviations.

What is the Open Energy Steering Committee (OEO-SC)?

In order to increase the awareness of the ontology, adoption in currently running and planned projects and to shepherd its development, a steering committee was summoned: The OEO Steering Committee (OSO-SC). Regular, short conference calls, as well as personal meeting (e.g. at already planned events) are used to exchange information on planned or already done tasks. A continuos exchange between ontology developers and the OEO-SC takes place on GitHub.

Who is involved with the OEO-SC?

The Steering Committee is organized by the project team of the research project SzenarienDB and moderated by Ludwig Hülk (RLI). The members are:
