What's new

Censys integration

New tool search_censys queries the Censys Search API for internet-facing infrastructure data.

Auto-detects input type:

Input Endpoint Returns
IPv4 address CensysHosts().view() Open ports, services, ASN, country, last updated
Domain CensysCerts().search() Certificate count, issuer, SANs, first/last seen

Available across all three interfaces:

  • Interactive REPL (AI agent chains it automatically for IP and domain targets)
  • Direct CLI: openosint censys TARGET [-t SECONDS]
  • MCP server: search_censys tool

Required environment variables:

CENSYS_API_ID=...
CENSYS_SECRET=...

Get credentials at censys.io/account.

Install the optional dependency:

pip install censys
# or
pip install "openosint[censys]"

Example output — IP:

[Censys] IP: 8.8.8.8
