Create a page for first time contributors, explaining important topics for beginners such as:

  • first steps with git
  • how to prepare local environment with conda
  • create a local folder for development e.g. ~/dev
  • CI
  • run tests locally
  • pre-commit

we should also recommend to use git config --global pull.rebase true configuration
