OpenXPlay Relay for Android 0.1.5

This release includes everything from 0.1.5-beta.1 and 0.1.5-beta.2.

New

• H.265 video. Settings → CarPlay picture → Video codec: Automatic, Force H.265 or Force H.264, shared with the head-unit page. Automatic uses H.265 when every head-unit browser showing CarPlay decodes it in hardware and Carlink does not need H.264, and falls back to H.264 if the iPhone's H.265 stream stalls.
• Carlink: head units that report H.265 get the iPhone's picture unchanged: no transcoding on the phone, smoother motion (up to about 60 fps) and lower latency.
• Carlink: CarPlay takes the shape of the car's Carlink window instead of a squeezed 1280×720 (for example 1532×1013 on the Xpeng G6). CarPlay view areas work with Carlink too.
• Carlink: Settings → Output → Reconnect when the window size changes (off by default). When the car switches its Carlink area, for example from two thirds of the screen to full screen, the first touch reconnects Carlink so the picture can follow the new size; the picture stops for a few seconds.
• Trusted HTTPS. Settings → Head-unit access → Trusted HTTPS uses a free name from DuckDNS or dynv6 so the head-unit browser opens the relay page without a certificate warning. Each provider keeps its own name and token and links to its site and to the setup guide (https://openxplay.org/en/trusted-https).
• Settings → Sound → CarPlay audio over the car's Bluetooth (experimental), on by default: the relay offers the iPhone no CarPlay audio, so music, navigation and calls play over the iPhone's own Bluetooth connection with the car.
• Video statistics on the home screen (Settings → CarPlay picture → Video statistics): the iPhone's codec, size, frame rate and bit rate; for Carlink, passthrough or transcoding, dropped frames and send stalls; for each browser, frame rate, dropped frames, decode time and latency.
• Friendly hints before you start: a manual start checks that this phone's Wi-Fi is on when Carlink is used and that its hotspot is on when wireless CarPlay uses it, offers to open the right settings, and starts by itself when you come back with everything on. If Carlink fails because Wi-Fi is off, the home screen says so at once.
• When a wired session waits for the iPhone but this phone is connected as a USB device, the home screen explains that a USB-C iPhone took control of the cable and suggests a USB-C OTG adapter with a USB-A to USB-C cable.
• The home screen lists every connection problem (iPhone, Carlink, browser output, web server, video) with details you can expand, and says why the browser connection is down (port in use, web service failed, or no network the head unit can reach).
• Settings are grouped into menus (Output, Car and screen, CarPlay picture, Sound, iPhone connection, Startup, Head-unit access, Identity and certificates, About, Developer options).
• Developer options get a master switch and a switch per option; turning them off returns the options to their defaults and keeps your choices for next time. The developer page shows the codec in use and why, the Carlink picture size and the live picture geometry.

Changes

• Carlink: touches land where you tap when the picture is not 1280×720.
• Carlink: fixes a black screen with sound on head units that only recognise key frames at the very start of a frame; the picture comes back after the reverse camera; a changed head-unit pairing key asks for the PIN again instead of needing a reinstall; only voice and call audio use the head unit's voice channel, so keyboard clicks no longer pause music; steadier audio timing after video changes. Thanks to @PicoHug.
• USB is marked "Not recommended" and switching to it asks first: this phone has to power the iPhone, and only some cables work. Wireless is the recommendation; with Carlink, the guide recommends this phone's hotspot.
• A change of the phone's network no longer restarts the web receiver or drops the head-unit page, and a web receiver that fails to start keeps retrying.
• Head-unit page: the relay-wide Video codec setting replaces the per-browser "H.264 only" option.
• A new animated splash screen, one page transition for every page, and About → Project website opens openxplay.org in your language.

Notes

• This is the latest release; the latest-download link now gives 0.1.5. The 0.1.4 release candidates were withdrawn; this release includes everything in them.
• If CarPlay sound plays from the iPhone instead of the car, turn off Settings → Sound → CarPlay audio over the car's Bluetooth, or keep the iPhone paired with the car and choose Bluetooth as the car's audio source.
• Known issues: the Xpeng G6 does not tell the phone its new size when you switch its Carlink area during a session, and whether reconnecting makes it report the full-screen size is not verified yet; wired CarPlay with a USB-C iPhone on a USB-C to USB-C cable usually does not work (use an OTG adapter or wireless); some phones turn Wi-Fi off when their hotspot is on, and Carlink needs both; navigation prompts and ringtones over Carlink may be silent (not yet verified); on Carlink head units that need H.264, the phone's transcoder can stop after a timestamp jump and then sends the original stream.
• The Android app and the Linux relay are released separately (tags android-v… and linux-v…). The Android package name is org.openxplay.relay. You supply your own Apple accessory (MFi) identity; no build contains one.

• 首页视频统计（「设置 → CarPlay 画面 → 视频统计」）：iPhone 的编码、尺寸、帧率和码率；Carlink 的直通或转码、丢帧和发送阻塞；每个浏览器的帧率、丢帧、解码时间和延迟。
• 启动前的友好提示：手动启动时检查使用 Carlink 时这台手机的 Wi-Fi 是否打开、无线 CarPlay 使用本机热点时热点是否打开，可直接打开对应设置，回来时都已打开就会自动启动。因为 Wi-Fi 没开导致 Carlink 失败时，首页会马上说明。
• 有线连接等待 iPhone、而这台手机被当成 USB 设备时，首页会说明是 USB-C 接口的 iPhone 占用了主控，并建议改用 USB-C OTG 转接头加 USB-A 转 USB-C 线。
• 首页列出所有连接问题（iPhone、Carlink、浏览器输出、网页服务、视频），可展开查看详情，并说明浏览器连接不可用的原因（端口被占用、网页服务启动失败，或没有车机能访问的网络）。
• 设置按菜单分组（输出、车型与屏幕、CarPlay 画面、声音、iPhone 连接方式、启动、车机访问、身份与证书、关于、开发者选项）。
• 开发者选项有一个总开关，每个选项也有单独的开关；关闭后各选项恢复默认值，你的选择会保留到下次打开。开发者页显示当前使用的编码及原因、Carlink 画面尺寸和当前画面的几何信息。

变更

• Carlink：画面不是 1280×720 时，触控也能点在正确的位置。
• Carlink：修复部分车机有声音但画面全黑的问题（这类车机只在一帧的最开头识别关键帧）；车机显示倒车影像后画面能恢复；车机配对密钥变化后会重新要求输入 PIN，不再需要重装；只有语音和通话音频使用车机的语音通道，打字声不再让音乐暂停；视频变化后音频时间更稳定。感谢 @PicoHug。
• USB 有线连接标为「不推荐」，切换到 USB 时会先提醒：这台手机要给 iPhone 供电，而且对数据线有要求。推荐使用无线连接；使用 Carlink 时，设置向导推荐使用这台手机的热点。
• 手机网络变化时不再重启网页服务，车机网页也不会断开；网页服务启动失败时会持续重试。
• 车机网页：中继统一的「视频编码」设置取代了每个浏览器单独的「只用 H.264」选项。
• 新的启动动画，所有页面使用统一的切换动画，「关于 → 项目网站」按界面语言打开 openxplay.org。

说明

• 这是最新的正式版本，「下载最新版」链接现在指向 0.1.5。0.1.4 的候选版本已撤下，本版本包含它们的全部内容。
• 如果 CarPlay 声音从 iPhone 播放而不是从车里播放，请关闭「设置 → 声音 → 通过车辆蓝牙播放 CarPlay 音频」，或保持 iPhone 与车辆配对并将车辆音源设为蓝牙。
• 已知问题：会话中切换 Carlink 显示区域时，小鹏 G6 不会把新尺寸告诉手机，重新连接后是否会报出全屏尺寸还没有验证；USB-C 接口的 iPhone 用两头都是 USB-C 的线做有线 CarPlay 通常连不上（请改用 OTG 转接头或无线连接）；有些手机打开热点后会自动关闭 Wi-Fi，而 Carlink 需要两者都打开；Carlink 上的导航播报和铃声可能没有声音（尚未验证）；在需要 H.264 的 Carlink 车机上，手机转码在时间戳跳变后可能停止，随后改为发送原始画面。
• 安卓应用和 Linux 中继分开发布（标签分别为 android-v… 和 linux-v…）。安卓应用的包名是 org.openxplay.relay。Apple 配件（MFi）身份需要你自己提供，任何构建都不包含。
