Encryption + GUI
New Features:
- OpenSSL: Utilized for encryption, certificate, and key creation. Certificates are used for an HTTPS server, keys are used for secure exchange of symmetric keys for encrypting packets through the UDP socket.
- Electron.js: Utilized for GUI and managing the tunnel program.
Requirements:
- Server: Requires at least two static IP addresses to function.
Recommendations:
- Server: OpenSSL must be installed to generate certificates and keys. Download OpenSSL for Windows.
Considerations:
- Client & Server: vpn-tunnel.exe may not work as intended on Intel CPUs. It is best to build from main branch.
Release - no encryption
VPN - no encryption
VPN is currently sending raw packets captured with WinDivert threw a UDP Winsock 2 socket with no encryption.
Server side Mode: -s / --server
Needs two static IPs
Client side mode: -c / --client
Preferably on static IP
Run the program from the command line (cmd / powershell):
vpn-tunnel.exe [-c || -s || --client || --server] [server IP] [server port] [primary IP for client || secondary IP for server]
Example:
vpn-tunnel.exe -s 192.168.1.110 585 192.168.1.120
vpn-tunnel.exe -c 7.7.7.7 585 192.168.1.10
