Quicky v0.1.32

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 04 Nov 20:04

New: Quicky keeps your tasks safe when its folder syncs between two PCs (each PC's changes are merged instead of one overwriting the other), never starts over from an empty or damaged quicky.json, and retries a save when OneDrive or a virus scanner holds the file. Also fixed: a rare freeze while the bubble glides, Alt+F4 on a reminder hiding the bubble and stopping later reminders, and Quicky opening off screen after it was minimized.

Windows: download Quicky_*_x64-setup.exe and run it. No admin rights needed. Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" because the installer isn't code-signed yet: click More info, then Run anyway.

macOS (11 or newer, Apple silicon and Intel): download Quicky_*_universal.dmg, open it and drag Quicky into Applications. The first time you open it, macOS says it can't check Quicky for malware, because Quicky isn't notarized by Apple: open System Settings, Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway next to Quicky.

Linux (x86-64): download the .AppImage, make it executable and run it, or install the .deb. Minis inside other apps work with apps that run on X11.

Already have Quicky? It updates itself (Settings, Updates).

@github-actions github-actions released this 04 Nov 11:53

New: minimizing Quicky (the taskbar, Win+Down, Cmd+M) tucks it away like closing does, and on light accent colours Quicky gets dark eyes, on the bubble, the reminder and the taskbar, Dock and tray icons. Also recent: an AM/PM time picker everywhere, and Mac fixes for the mic, dragging and Ctrl+Space.

Windows: download Quicky_*_x64-setup.exe and run it. No admin rights needed. Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" because the installer isn't code-signed yet: click More info, then Run anyway.

@github-actions github-actions released this 04 Nov 11:25

New: times are picked with AM/PM everywhere (no more 24-hour boxes on some Macs), and the minimize button is gone (close tucks Quicky away). On macOS: the mic asks for permission and voice notes play back, dragging the bubble no longer offers to tile it at the screen edge, and Ctrl+Space works as well as Option+Space.

Windows: download Quicky_*_x64-setup.exe and run it. No admin rights needed. Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" because the installer isn't code-signed yet: click More info, then Run anyway.

Windows: download Quicky_*_x64-setup.exe and run it. No admin rights needed. Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" because the installer isn't code-signed yet: click More info, then Run anyway.

@github-actions github-actions released this 04 Nov 10:26

New: a left drag now just moves the bubble, anywhere, even over an app. To give an app a mini, drag the bubble onto it with the right mouse button; right-drag a mini to move it inside its app. Right-button and mini drags are smoother too.

Windows: download Quicky_*_x64-setup.exe and run it. No admin rights needed. Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" because the installer isn't code-signed yet: click More info, then Run anyway.

@github-actions github-actions released this 03 Nov 19:50

New: drag the bubble with the right mouse button to just move it, even over an app, without giving that app a mini (a right-click that doesn't move still opens the menu). Also recent: the bubble stays at its spot when an app gets a mini, and hiding a mini no longer makes it vanish for a moment.

Windows: download Quicky_*_x64-setup.exe and run it. No admin rights needed. Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" because the installer isn't code-signed yet: click More info, then Run anyway.

@github-actions github-actions released this 02 Nov 15:43

New: hiding or popping a mini no longer makes the bubble vanish for a moment, and the bubble no longer picks up the mini's count, lock or menu choices. Still new from 0.1.25: Quicky's own bubble stays at its spot when an app gets a mini.

Windows: download Quicky_*_x64-setup.exe and run it. No admin rights needed. Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" because the installer isn't code-signed yet: click More info, then Run anyway.

@github-actions github-actions released this 02 Nov 15:24

New: Quicky's own bubble now stays at its spot when an app gets a mini: each app's mini pops up in its own little window while that app is in front, the bubble keeps the general list, and a popped or hidden mini flies back into the bubble.
