ClawMuse 1.0.0 is the first public release: a free, open-source (MIT) personal AI assistant
that runs on your own computer, for macOS and Windows. No account, no ClawMuse server, no
analytics in the app.

Built around your goals

  • Goals. One question on first launch: what are you working toward? Pick areas or write goals
in your own words, and change them any time.
  • Feed. A daily edition of current headlines around your goals, each story with its sources
and picture. Set the time it arrives, write your own Feed prompt, and discuss any story in chat.
  • Ideas. Concrete things the assistant can carry out for your situation, refreshed daily.
    Pick one to start it.
  • Check-ins. Optional messages when there is something useful, up to the frequency you choose,
only within your active hours, and never mid-conversation.
  • Weekly Recap. Every Sunday evening, a short look back at your week at the top of the Feed.
It states only numbers the app recorded, and a week with no activity gets no recap. Turn it off
    in Settings → Notifications.

An assistant that does the work

  • Chat with tools: research on the web, reading and writing files, running commands, a
managed browser, planning and reminders. Quick Chat opens from anywhere with Alt+Space.
  • Skills and scheduled tasks: write skills in the built-in studio; anything done more than
once can run on a schedule and report back into the same conversation.
  • Approvals: a bot stops and asks before anything irreversible.
  • Dictation: speak instead of typing.
  • Channels: reach your assistant from Telegram or Discord.
  • The ClawMuse avatar: a 3D character that reacts while it thinks, talks and works. Ask it to
change its look and it restyles itself.
  • Share cards and clips: turn a Feed story, an idea, an answer or your Weekly Recap into an
image card, or a short clip of the avatar beside it.

Your model

ClawMuse uses a Claude Code sign-in it finds on your computer, or your own key for Anthropic,
OpenAI, OpenRouter, OpenCode Zen or Z.ai, or a local model through Ollama or LM Studio. It tells
you exactly where it found a credential before using it.

Downloads

Platform File
macOS 12+, Apple silicon ClawMuse-1.0.0-arm64.dmg
macOS 12+, Intel ClawMuse-1.0.0-x64.dmg
Windows 10/11, x64 ClawMuse-Setup-1.0.0-x64.exe
Windows 10/11, ARM64 ClawMuse-Setup-1.0.0-arm64.exe

The Windows installer is per-user and needs no administrator rights. The pinned OpenClaw runtime
ships inside every installer, so the first launch unpacks it instead of downloading it.

These builds are not code-signed yet

1.0.0 is not signed with an Apple Developer ID or a Microsoft code-signing certificate, so the
operating system asks you to confirm once:

  • macOS: open the app, click Done on the warning, then System Settings → Privacy &
    Security → Open Anyway
    .
  • Windows: on the SmartScreen prompt, click More info → Run anyway.

Because the publisher is not vouched for by a certificate, check that your file is the one
published here. SHA256SUMS.txt is attached to this release:

  • macOS: shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS.txt --ignore-missing in the folder holding the files,
    or shasum -a 256 ClawMuse-1.0.0-arm64.dmg and compare.
  • Windows (PowerShell): Get-FileHash .\ClawMuse-Setup-1.0.0-x64.exe and compare the hash,
    ignoring case.

What leaves your machine

Your messages (and dictated audio) go to the model provider you chose, under your own key; nothing
does if the model runs locally. The Feed sends short search terms drawn from your goals to Bing News
(Google News as the fallback). The app checks GitHub Releases for a newer version. There is no
analytics and no crash reporting. Settings → Data controls → Remove ClawMuse deletes everything
it stored and removes the app.

Known limitations

  • Unsigned builds, as above. Until they are signed, macOS may not install an update in place;
if it does not, download the new version and replace the app.
  • The agents run on your real machine. A bot with file and shell access has file and shell access,
so give each bot the narrowest permissions that let it do its job.
  • No Linux build yet. What blocks it is tracked in #15 and #14.
