This major release modernizes the build tooling, migrates to ESM, and streamlines dependencies.

⚠️ Breaking Changes

  • ESM Migration: The project now uses ES Modules exclusively. CommonJS require() is no longer supported, and the UMD build has been removed.
  • Package Scope: Package renamed to @pablog02/fornac
  • Peer Dependencies: d3 (v3.5.13) is now a peer dependency and must be installed separately

  • Added official type definitions (.d.ts) to provide full autocompletion and type-checking for the entire API.

🔧 Build & Tooling

  • Migrated from Webpack to Vite for faster builds and improved developer experience
  • Added oxfmt for consistent code formatting

  • Replaced slugid dependency with native crypto.randomUUID() API
