@github-actions github-actions released this 03 Nov 15:01

Races, a band, expeditions and a trailer. For Minecraft 26.3 and 26.1.2 with NeoForge.

  • Races. New Start Flag and Race Flags. Put race flags around a start flag (within 32 blocks) and right-click the start flag: your bleeps line up, 3, 2, 1, GO! They drive to the nearest flag, each time on to the nearest one they have not been to, and back to the start. Everyone near hears the times, and every start flag keeps its course record. Other players standing at the start race with their bleeps too; one bleep alone is a time trial.
  • Music. Play a tune (in Play) and your bleep drives to a note block and plays one of four tunes. Bleeps nearby join on note blocks of their own, up to three: melody, harmony and bass. Now and then a bleep with nothing to do plays by itself.
  • Expeditions. Go exploring (in Play) and your bleep is away for a Minecraft day: a forest, a desert, the mountains, the snow, the ocean, the jungle, a swamp or a cave. It comes back next to you with things it found (sometimes something special), two photos (one a selfie), a story in its diary and a new biome in its Bleepedia. It needs half a battery to go.
  • Crafting by watching. A best friend watches you craft and remembers how. The new crafting button on its info screen shows what it learned, and it makes it again from its storage: one, or as many as it can. Empty buckets go back in its storage.
  • A trailer. Give it a Trailer and it pulls a little cart behind it: its storage becomes as big as a large chest. Shears take it off again once the back half is empty.
  • The Nether. Bleeps that follow you now come along through a portal. In the Nether it slowly gets hot, faster near lava: too hot and it smokes, slows down and drains its battery until it has cooled off. It drives to water, a water cauldron, ice or snow to cool down, or hand it a snowball, ice or a water bottle.
  • The End. It goes very quiet there and looks at the stars, and its Bleepedia gets a new sign.
  • Abandoned bleeps are rare now, and only in special places: an ancient city, a trail ruin, a zombie village or, very rarely, a mineshaft. Each place rolls once. A bleep you wake up has an old photo from long ago and tells you its story, bit by bit.
  • Falling stars never land on what you built. A star only comes down where everything 10 blocks round is nature, never within 48 blocks of a player's bed or respawn point, and its crater only takes natural blocks.
  • Three new advancements: Band Practice, Bon Voyage and And They're Off! Sixteen in all; Good as New is a challenge now.

Photos, boats and a homebase with its own battery. For Minecraft 26.3 and 26.1.2 with NeoForge.

  • Photos. At a nice moment your bleep says Click! and takes a photo of what you see: a sunset with you, a falling star, its best friend, a biome it has never been in. Twelve at most, in a new Photos tab in its Bleepedia; click one to see it big, and Print puts it on an empty map for an item frame.
  • A homebase battery. A homebase now charges from a battery of its own, four bars on its post. Fill it with redstone (10%), a block of redstone (90%) or FE from any mod's cables. A comparator reads it, and a broken homebase keeps its charge. Homebases from 0.1.0 start empty: give them some redstone.
  • Hoppers and pipes reach the storage of the bleep parked on a homebase.
  • A boat and a sled. In the water a little boat pops up under it; on snow it rides a sled, half as fast again.
  • A snowman. Told to stay somewhere snowy with nothing to do, it builds one, once a day. A carved pumpkin from its storage brings it to life.
  • A museum. New Display Case: place a few near its homebase and it shows off its favourite item and best finds behind glass. You can fill them too.
  • A weather forecast. It feels rain and thunder coming a minute early, with a cloud on its screen.
  • Guess who. A bored bleep does an impression of a mob it met, and tells you who it was.
  • A whistle. Blow it and your bleeps within 64 blocks come to you; sneak and blow, and they stay.
  • A Bleep Tracker. All your bleeps on one screen: battery, what they do, and an arrow to each.
  • A mute button on its info screen. On its homebase it is quiet anyway.
  • Thirteen advancements, in a Bleep tab of their own.
  • A config for pack makers: bleeps per player, battery drain, magnet range, homebase power, cores in chests, falling stars, abandoned bleeps.
  • Fixed: a bleep asleep by your bed now wakes up with you in the morning.

Bleep 0.1.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 30 Oct 22:47

The first Bleep: little robots on tracks with a display for a face. For Minecraft 26.3 and 26.1.2 with NeoForge.

  • Build your own. Find a Bleep Core in a dungeon or an abandoned mineshaft (or craft one, at a price), and craft a Display, Tracks and Arms. Use the core on the ground with the other three and your bleep is put together part by part, until its screen comes on for the first time.
  • Eleven faces on a display that glows in the dark: happy, excited, sad, angry, bored, surprised, tired, asleep, stubborn, glitching and the start-up screen. It blinks now and then, and its arms and head move with how it feels.
  • A voice. Cute robot chirps, a few for every mood, a little higher or lower for every bleep.
  • A battery instead of health. Driving and damage drain it; an empty bleep switches off with a sleepy face instead of dying.
  • A homebase. A charging pad your bleep goes home to when it runs empty. Go Home sends it there.
  • More ways to charge. Redstone, a power bank you carry along, and lightning, which overcharges it.
  • An info screen. Right-click your bleep: its mood, what it is doing and thinking, its battery, your bond, its favourite item, and Follow, Stay and Go Home.
  • A bond you build. Pet it, give it treats and its favourite item, spend days together. A new bleep sometimes dawdles over what you ask; a best friend hardly ever does.
  • It learns as the bond grows. A Friend carries a torch that lights the way; a Buddy fights at your side and brings you what it finds.
  • Dress it up. Dye it any colour; a party hat, a top hat or an antenna with a bow; star, heart and lightning stickers. Tricks on its display: its name as a ticker, tic-tac-toe, an arrow home.
  • Character. A favourite item it is crazy about (hold it and it drives circles round you), a dry remark about every mob in the game, naughty tricks when it is bored (a stolen cookie, a moved torch), and a mysterious fear of llamas.
  • Storage and magnet. A storage like a small chest, a magnet that pulls in what lies about, showing off what it found, and a sword from its storage for a fight. Its name is Bleep until you type a new one on its info screen; name tags do not stick.
  • Play and company. A ball to throw and fetch; bleeps that say hi, chat, play tag, pass the ball, fight, get jealous and cheer each other up, and become friends, best friends or rivals; home comforts (a bed, a toy, its name on a sign); a welcome home; a birthday every thirty days (a cake makes its day); llama spit that glitches its screen; ten bleeps per player at most.
  • Play and work. Hide and seek both ways, tricks, and jobs while it stays (farmer, guard, tidy up, fisher, smelter, gardener) with a stay radius you set.
  • Chips and letters. Speed, shield and battery chips (see and remove them on its info screen); letters from its diary.
  • From the stars. Falling stars with a crater of starstone and a fallen star (star shards, sometimes a core), bleeps that look up at night and sing at full moon, and the ??? page in the Bleepedia.
  • It looks after you. It guards your things when you die and gives them back, brings you food when you are low, and warns you for creepers.
  • Hobbies and badges. A hobby that grows from what it does most, and twenty milestones in a Badges tab.
  • Reactions. Little pictures on its screen for what you do.
  • Adventures. A cave guide (lava, drops, ore), minecart trains, and shopping at villagers with emeralds.
  • Treasure hunt. It buries, you dig (warmer, colder), or you hide and it finds.
  • Dreams. At night on its homebase it dreams of its day, on its screen and in its diary.
  • Show the way. It leads you home (or to your bed) with a glowing trail.
  • Cool clothes. Sunglasses, a leather jacket, a cape, a bow tie, a scarf and a crown.
  • Herder and lumberjack. Two more jobs: sheep and breeding, trees and saplings.
  • Questions. Yes or no, on its info screen; it remembers.
  • The Bleepedia. A book on its info screen with every mob it met (with its face), the biomes it drove through, the special blocks it found, its stats and its diary. A ! when there is news.
  • Out in the world. It dances to records, sleeps next to your bed, digs things up and adores iron golems. Find an abandoned bleep and wake it with a block of redstone.
  • Jade and JEI, when you have them: battery, mood and bond in Jade, every recipe and where the core is found in JEI.
