@ParendumOU ParendumOU released this 24 Oct 02:20

Hide anything on a page, sleeping tabs that give their memory back, and YouTube summaries that cite the moment they come from.

Download

Platform File
Windows (installer) Corvus-Setup-0.6.0.exe
Windows (portable, no install) Corvus-Portable-0.6.0.exe
Linux (any distro) Corvus-0.6.0-x86_64.AppImage
Debian / Ubuntu corvus_0.6.0_amd64.deb

Check your download against SHA256SUMS.txt. The installers are not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC" on first run: choose More info, then Run anyway. Installed 0.2.0 and later apps update automatically, and so does the portable build from 0.5.0 on. Coming from 0.2.0? Read "Before you update" in the 0.3.0 notes first.

Browser

  • Hide anything on a page: right-click > "Hide this element…" (or "Hide an element…" in the
shield popover) and pick it: a click chooses it, "Wider" or Up takes the element around it,
Enter hides it. It stays hidden on that site, as a rule in your own filter list.
  • Your own filters: Settings > Ad & tracker blocker > "My filters" lists your rules in
uBlock Origin syntax, including every element you hid; edit them or add your own.
  • Sleeping tabs: a background tab you have not looked at for an hour (Settings > Memory)
goes to sleep and gives its memory back; it comes back where it was, with its history and what
you typed in forms, when you return. Pinned tabs, tabs playing sound, tabs an AI agent uses
and pages where you typed stay awake. "Sleep to save memory" in the tab menu puts one to sleep
now, and hovering a tab shows the memory it uses.

Corvus Assist

  • YouTube videos: on a YouTube video, Summarize and Ask read what is said in it (its
captions) instead of the page around it, and every point cites the moment it comes from:
"▶ 1:10" plays the video from there.
