parnianminer v2.5 - CPU and NVIDIA GPU mining

One miner for CPU and NVIDIA GPU. CPU mining works exactly as before; GPU mining is new.

CPU mining

• Same as 2.4.2: -cpu -cputhreads N, automatic pool port (:auto), backup pools, solo mining
• Includes the 2.4.2 Windows fix for rejected "low difficulty" shares

NVIDIA GPU mining (new)

• -gpu 0 for GPU only, or -gpu 0 -cpu -cputhreads N for GPU and CPU together
• Only the NVIDIA display driver is needed (no CUDA toolkit or DLLs)
• Maxwell (GTX 750/900, 800M/900M) and newer, up to Blackwell; old drivers (CUDA 8) and CUDA 12/13 drivers
• Every GPU share is verified on the CPU before it is submitted
• Nonce scanning on the GPU (-gpuscan 2, default): same hashes, much less GPU memory. RTX 4090: ~640 kH/s
• Tools: -gputest 60, -gpubench 8 (finds the fastest options), -gpudiag

On laptops with small GPUs (ex: GTX 850M) the CPU is faster than the GPU: use -cpu there.

Scripts

Each package has ready-to-run scripts: cpu-pool-mining, cpu-solo-mining, gpu-pool-mining,
gpu-solo-mining, gpu-test, gpu-bench, gpu-diag (.bat on Windows, .sh on Linux).
Put your ParnianCoin account number in the mining scripts before running them.

parnianminer 2.5 for HiveOS and mmpOS

HiveOS and mmpOS packages of parnianminer 2.5: CPU and NVIDIA GPU mining.

What is new

• NVIDIA GPU mining. By default every NVIDIA GPU of the rig and the CPU mine together
  (the CPU leaves one core per GPU). Rigs without NVIDIA GPU mine with the CPU as before.
• Dashboard: hashrate, temperature and fan per GPU (matched by PCI bus), plus the CPU.
• Only the NVIDIA driver of the rig is needed.

Choose the devices (HiveOS: Extra config, mmpOS: miner arguments)

• -gpu 0,2 only these GPUs, -gpu off CPU only
• -cputhreads 4 CPU threads, -cpu off GPUs only
• GPU kernel options: -gpuscan, -gpuregs, -gpublock (find the best with -gpubench 8)

parnianminer 2.4.2 for HiveOS and mmpOS

HiveOS and mmpOS packages updated to parnianminer 2.4.2.

The 2.4.2 fix (wrong BLAKE2s hashes causing rejected shares) only affected Windows builds.
Linux rigs were not affected, so this update is optional for HiveOS/mmpOS users and only keeps the version in line with the main release.

parnianminer 2.4.2 - Windows rejected shares fix

Fixed: on Windows builds BLAKE2s produced wrong digests, so every RandomHash2
hash that used Blake2s was wrong and the pool rejected it as "low difficulty share".
Windows miners saw about 30-60% rejected shares. Linux builds were not affected.

Tested on the same PC: 2.4.1 about 50% rejected, 2.4.2 0% rejected.
All Windows miners should update. Command line and config are unchanged.

parnianminer 2.4.1 for HiveOS and mmpOS

Notes

• All logical cores are used by default; set -cputhreads to change it.
• Solo mining on a node: use http://node.parniancoin.com:38009 as the pool URL.
• Statistics come from the miner's local read-only API (127.0.0.1:7111), enabled automatically.
• Linux: console output is now line-buffered, so the miner log in the dashboard is always complete.

New

• Backup pools: -fo accepts several pools (comma separated), each with its own account (-fou). Repeated domains are refused.
• Failback: while on a backup pool, the miner returns to the main pool when it is reachable again (-failback, default 30 minutes).
• Auto port: a port is entered at 95% of its hashrate and left below 85%. New port 38068 (fixed difficulty, 5 MH/s or greater).

Fixes

• Crash when the connection was lost or the login refused before the first job.
• The miner no longer exits when a backup pool fails, refuses the login or sends no work; it moves to the next pool.
• Auto port state, pending port switch and stratum session are kept per pool.

parnianminer 2.4

parnianminer 2.4 – ParnianCoin release (out of beta)

Official CPU miner for ParnianCoin (PARC) – RandomHash2 proof-of-work.
Pool (stratum) mining with automatic port selection, and solo mining on a ParnianCoin node.

What's new

• Automatic pool port selection – use auto instead of a port number. The miner measures its hashrate and moves to the matching pool port (shown in the log). A numeric port keeps the old behaviour.
• No dependencies to install – jsoncpp, boost and the C++ runtime are linked statically. Windows builds use only system DLLs; the portable Linux build runs on glibc 2.17+.
• Security fixes – one-byte stack overflow in the remote API reader fixed; remote API disabled by default and bound to 127.0.0.1 (new -apiremote option); constant-time API password check; pool password and API requests no longer logged; crash on empty miner_file request fixed.
• Antivirus friendliness – console window is never hidden; Windows executable now carries version info and icon.
• Help, config.txt, scripts and README rewritten for ParnianCoin.
