RefMint's first beta defines the compatibility contract for the refmint and refmint/codec ESM imports. Applications upgrading from alpha.3 can keep their existing public references and stored uint64 or UUID values. The eight shipped JavaScript and TypeScript declaration files match the published alpha.3 files byte for byte.

Install the beta with Node.js 22 or later.

npm install refmint@beta

The verified archive passed clean installation and strict TypeScript checks. It read all 20 frozen codec vectors and three legacy references. Tests covered exact re-encoding, values above the JavaScript safe integer limit and rejection of the wrong namespace. CI passed on Node 22, 24 and 26, Windows and macOS, with PDF lookup and Chromium, Firefox and WebKit checks.
