LinkedIn Slop Detector v0.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@Pragith Pragith released this 20 Aug 12:02

LinkedIn Slop Detector v0.1.0 is the first public release of Pragith Prakash's privacy-first LinkedIn feed filter.

It detects transparent, configurable writing patterns rather than claiming to determine AI authorship. Detection runs entirely inside the browser: no post text leaves the device, and there is no telemetry or external detection service.

Highlights

  • Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Brave support using Manifest V3.
  • 61 built-in rule families covering contrast templates, canned hooks, faux insights, inflated language, vocabulary clusters, and structural repetition.
  • Exact phrase highlighting, post outlines, score badges, detailed pattern breakdowns, dimming, collapsing, and hiding.
  • Full controls for built-in rules plus CRUD support for custom regular-expression rules.
  • Versioned local storage with import, export, migrations, and immediate synchronization across open LinkedIn tabs.
  • Resilient handling for LinkedIn's dynamic feed, infinite scrolling, expanded posts, and recycled feed nodes.
  • Dedicated popup and full-page settings interface.

Privacy

All scanning and scoring happen locally. The extension has no analytics, telemetry, tracking pixels, remote rules, or LLM/API calls.
