Lidwise 1.2.0 — community build
Not notarized by Apple. Hardware validation is not complete. This build is
ad hoc signed. It was tested only on the development host: Apple Silicon, macOS 26.6.2.
Real-device lid, power, recovery, and reboot checks have not been recorded.
Do not use it for unattended sleep prevention until you have run those checks yourself.
What changed
- Bounded manual awake sessions, duration presets, and explicit session extension.
- Advance expiry warning and saved next-session battery and charging policy.
- Local session history with reasons and restoration results.
- Optional local Claude Code and Codex activity monitoring. Agent activity never controls sleep.
- Failed commands refresh actual state; the menu adapts to longer fault messages.
- Guided read-only lid test.
Install
- Download the ZIP and the matching
.sha256file. Verify:shasum -a 256 -c Lidwise-1.2.0-macos-universal.zip.sha256 - Extract the ZIP and run
./install.shfrom its folder. Administrator authorization installs the recovery job and a narrow sleep-control rule. - If macOS blocks the app, follow Apple's per-app Open Anyway procedure: https://support.apple.com/en-us/102445. Managed Macs may prohibit this.
Upgrading from Closed-Lid Awake 1.0.0: the installer removes the old app, vibecaf command, login item, and sudoers rule.
Safety
- Keep the Mac on a hard, ventilated surface. Never run it awake in a closed bag.
- Software checks do not guarantee thermal safety or keep a job alive.
- Network monitoring is read-only and preserves existing configuration.
- Quiet agent activity does not mean a job has completed.
Platform
Binaries contain arm64 and x86_64 code targeting macOS 13. That is build coverage, not
certified hardware compatibility.
