FrameSwift 1.2.1 Preview — X.com sharing

Free Windows photo viewer by Prosper Technologies.

New

  • X.com destination button in the guided sharing workspace, alongside Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, Mastodon, Discord, and Telegram.
  • Save photo & open X: saves a prepared JPEG and opens X's composer with the caption prefilled. Attach the saved photo, check the audience, and publish on X. The link does not attach/upload the photo or automatically post.
  • Prepared X API v2 adapter: verify user identity, upload JPEG, wait for media readiness, submit image descriptions, create a photo post, and return its link. Credentials stay in memory; uncertain final publication is not automatically repeated.
  • X caption counter/preflight uses 280 UTF-16 text units. X's own Unicode/URL weighting may still reject some drafts.
  • The final review now allows scrolling through the complete caption.
  • Included X setup guide.txt documents developer testing and remaining public sign-in work.

Setup status

Public X sign-in is not configured. Developer testing needs your own authorized X app and a user-context OAuth 2.0 token with the required permissions. X controls endpoint access, credits, rate limits, and any API charges. FrameSwift does not buy access or include an API allowance. Live X posting has not been tested.

Instagram/Facebook integrations retain their existing setup requirements. This release does not provide public Meta sign-in. See the included guides for account support and setup.

Download

Install FrameSwift-1.2.1-Setup-x64.exe below. Requires x64 Windows 10 version 2004 or later, or Windows 11. Close FrameSwift before upgrading. The app/runtime package is self-contained; a signed Microsoft Visual C++ prerequisite is included when needed.

This is an unsigned preview. Review release details and the matching SHA-256 file before installing. Native image viewing, nondestructive editing, Auto Adjust, saved preferences/recovery, and the default-viewer prompt remain included.

Validation

Offline X tests cover exact media bytes, caption/description fields, receipt links, duplicate suppression, processing readiness/failure, metadata errors, secret-safe service errors, caption preflight, and browser URL encoding. Native app checks cover the X tile/setup state plus viewer/edit/export/recovery behavior. Installer checks cover installation, installed app launch, reinstall, removal, and preservation of personal files.

Live social publishing, all codecs/hardware, and every Windows version still need broader acceptance testing. Single JPEG X posts only; no threads, video, scheduling, multiple images, or Premium long posts. Copyright 2026 Prosper Technologies. Free to use; all rights reserved.

FrameSwift 1.2.0 Preview — A clearer way to share

Free Windows photo viewer by Prosper Technologies.

Sharing redesigned

  • Instagram and Facebook appear prominently alongside Bluesky, Mastodon, Discord, and Telegram.
  • Follow three steps: choose a destination, prepare the photo, then review.
  • See a live framing preview, white-border versus center-crop options, caption counts, and the connected posting identity.
  • Switch destinations without losing your caption draft.
  • Review photo, caption, image description, account, and audience before publishing.
  • Disconnect accounts locally and see connection/errors beside the sharing controls.

Instagram and Facebook: what works and what needs setup

Everyday users: save a prepared JPEG and open Instagram or Facebook from the app. Select the saved photo in the website's composer, add your caption, and finish publishing there. FrameSwift does not automatically populate or post through the website.

Developer integrations: Facebook Page photo upload and Instagram professional-account container/publish adapters are implemented and pass offline request tests. Advanced setup accepts a Page ID and authorized Page token from your own Meta app. Instagram additionally needs the exact prepared JPEG at a public HTTPS URL; FrameSwift verifies the file matches before publishing. Facebook sends JPEG bytes directly.

Public Meta sign-in is not configured. A registered Meta app, required permissions/review, a secure hosted sign-in service, Instagram media staging, and live acceptance tests remain necessary. This release does not claim one-click public Meta publishing or Meta approval.

The included Meta setup guide.txt explains testing and production setup. API publishing supports Facebook Pages and linked Instagram Business/Creator accounts, not Facebook personal profiles or personal Instagram accounts. Single feed photos only; no stories/reels/carousels.

Download and install

Choose FrameSwift-1.2.0-Setup-x64.exe below. Windows 10 version 2004 or later, x64; Windows 11 is the primary test platform. The installer includes app runtimes and Microsoft's signed Visual C++ prerequisite when needed. Close FrameSwift before upgrading.

This is an unsigned preview. Review the release/checksum before choosing to install. The first-launch default-viewer prompt remains available, with the same option in Settings.

Verification and current limits

Core/offline tests cover all six provider adapters, hosted-image mismatch rejection, authorization-header privacy, receipts and duplicate guards, caption limits, edit history, geometry, and persistence. Native checks cover rendering, export, orientation, fullscreen, recovery, the default-viewer prompt, and the redesigned sharing workspace. Installation, reinstall, and removal are verified separately. Live social account posting has not been verified.

JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, TIFF are the basic formats; GIF/TIFF show the first frame/page. Additional formats require Windows codecs. Full-resolution operations are limited to 80 megapixels and device limits. RAW, SVG, animation, multipage navigation, Windows Share, and other social destinations remain unavailable.

Personal photos and saved preferences are preserved during uninstall. No app source is published in the GitHub repository. Copyright 2026 Prosper Technologies; all rights reserved. Free to use, not open-source licensed.

View, edit, share

  • Folder browsing, thumbnails, fit/100% zoom, pan, fullscreen, and slideshow.
  • Crop presets, rotate/flip, Auto Adjust, tone/color adjustments, and sharpening.
  • Before/after and undo/redo; save a full-resolution JPEG or PNG copy while preserving the original.
  • Light/dark appearance, saved preferences, recent files, and optional edit recovery.
  • First-launch Make default / Not now prompt. Make default opens Windows Default apps so you can select FrameSwift for image types. Dismissal is remembered; the option remains in Settings.
  • Preview direct-sharing integrations: Bluesky, Mastodon, Discord webhooks, and Telegram bots. Connections stay in memory. Review the destination and photo before publishing.

Preview status

The app and installer are unsigned. Windows may show a publisher warning. Review the release and checksum before choosing to install.

Rendering, crop/rotation, image effects, EXIF orientation, full-resolution export, settings/recovery, and installer/reinstall/uninstall checks passed. Live social publishing and authentication still need broader verification. Hardware performance and all Windows versions/codecs have not been comprehensively tested.

Basic formats: JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, TIFF. GIF/TIFF show the first frame/page. WebP, HEIC/HEIF, and AVIF require suitable installed Windows codecs. RAW, SVG, animated playback, and multipage navigation are not implemented. Full-resolution operations are limited to 80 megapixels and device texture limits.

Instagram, Facebook, Threads, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, and Windows Share are not connected in this build.

Install and remove

Run setup, then launch FrameSwift from Start or the desktop shortcut. Installation is per-user; an absent or older runtime prerequisite may request administrator approval. Remove it through Windows Installed apps. Personal photos and saved preferences are preserved by uninstall.
