• list / json / table toggle top right of results. list = doc cards with collapsible trees, coloured types (ObjectId orange, strings green etc), Object (3) / Array (n) summaries that only render when you open them
• hover a doc for expand all, copy EJSON / JSON, inspect, plus edit / clone / delete on mongo finds
• single doc opens in list by default, after that your pick sticks
• resizable columns, drag the header edge, double click to fit / reset. remembered per collection or tab
• mongo headers show field type, nested cells show {} 3 fields instead of a wall of json
• works on pg too, jsonb cells expand as trees in list view

• autocomplete for fields, operators, pipeline stages, $group accumulators, $lookup collections. ctrl-space anywhere
• excel style column filters on results (pg too): conditions like >10, !=x, =null, tick/untick values
• collection picker in the toolbar, details folded by default, drop/delete tucked into a ⋯ menu with confirms
• edit/rename saved connections (pencil on cards + saved list)

• proper sslmode: follows libpq. prefer is the default (tls first, plain if the server has none), require encrypts without cert checks, verify-ca checks the chain not the hostname, verify-full both, disable never
• ssl mode picker replaces the Require TLS checkbox for postgres in manual mode (mongo keeps its toggle)
• conn strings: sslmode, sslrootcert, sslcert, sslkey respected. allow → prefer, no-verify → require
• tls hints: no-encryption, self-signed, hostname mismatch errors tell you which mode to pick
• window state: size, position, maximised and full screen survive a relaunch. unplugged a monitor? it comes back on screen instead of somewhere off in the void

• db switcher: single-db postgres connections get a ⇅ on their sidebar card, lists every db on the server, current one ticked, ones you can't CONNECT to greyed out
• swaps in place: same creds + saved profile, new session opens before the old one closes so a bad switch leaves you where you were
• tabs per db: each db keeps its own query tab, flip back and your draft is still there
• filter: more than 6 dbs gets a filter box, enter picks the first match, esc closes
• switching is blocked while a query is running

• connection string | manual: a toggle at the top of the dialog replaces the always-there type dropdown and the old connection string checkbox
• auto detect: in string mode the type comes from the scheme, postgres:// / postgresql:// is postgres, mongodb:// / mongodb+srv:// is mongo, with a little "Detected: ..." badge. empty or unknown scheme greys out the buttons
• manual: type selector + fields like before, live string preview still there
• carries across: switching modes moves your values (and the type) both ways, ports/db reset to sane defaults when the type flips
• remembers your mode: dialog reopens in whatever you used last, starts on connection string the first time

what's in it

• test & save: tests the connection (SELECT 1 / mongo ping) then saves it, shows server version + round trip. if the test fails you get the error inline with a save anyway button right there
• save without testing: saves the connection straight up, no connect attempt. handy for dbs that aren't up yet or are behind a vpn you're not on
• postgres connection strings: the connection string switch works for pg now, postgres:// or postgresql://, options like sslmode, application_name, connect_timeout get passed through
• fields and string stay in sync: for pg and mongo. edit the fields and the string updates live (password masked, copy gives the real thing), paste a string and the fields fill in. broken string just shows a hint and leaves your fields alone
• cleaner errors: no more Error invoking remote method ... junk in front, and pg creds get redacted in errors too

• docked sidebar: the panel button in the explorer header now locks it open and shifts the workspace over to make room, no more covering your editor

• same button when collapsed: the toggle sits in the workspace header in the same style, one click docks it again. hover peek from the left edge still works and the peeked rail has a pin button
