Resident Evil Android 1.1
v1.1 — Mod support is here!
This update brings mods to the Android edition, along with controller improvements, new guides and launcher fixes.
- New Mods menu: import ZIPs, enable or disable mods, change their priority, and edit names and descriptions.
- Support for compatible model, texture, sound and game-data replacements.
- Seamless HD Project support, including compatible HD backgrounds, foreground objects, inventory icons, effects and videos.
- Experimental support for compatible Classic REbirth XML translations, with compatibility reports.
- Mod Helper: an optional PC tool for checking and packaging supported files, with support for common older description encodings and preservation of original credits.
- Beginner modding guides: create texture packs and character reskins, prepare compatible PC mods, understand errors and test your work.
- Controller quick turn: R3 by default, with a configurable binding.
- Optional update checker: shows available updates and opens GitHub. Updates are never forced.
- Restore game actions: fixes incorrect AIM, ITEMS or PAUSE bindings without resetting your touch layout.
- Launcher layout improvements, Compacta Bold headings, and help dialogs that open at the top.
Start modding here:
- Bring a PC mod to Android, step by step
- Make your own texture mods, including Jill reskins
- Classic REbirth translation requirements and limitations
Download RE1-Mod-Helper.zip below for the optional helper. It requires Node.js LTS 20 or newer. Compatible model and sound replacement ZIPs can be imported directly without it.
Mod Helper checks and packages supported files; it does not automatically convert incompatible mods. Missing fonts, unsupported formats and Windows DLL/ASI plugins need additional work.
If AIM, ITEMS or PAUSE behave incorrectly after loading a save, open Settings → Controls & options → Fix game action bindings → Restore game actions, then save again.
Requires your own game files. Mods are installed separately through Mods → +. Read each pack’s requirements and compatibility report.
Thanks to everyone who tested and reported issues! ❤️
