App Center 1.0.11
An update winget lists and then refuses can now be done from inside the app, and checking for updates is quicker.
- Open to update. When winget cannot update a package in place — the new version is a different kind of installer from the one on the machine, or none of its installers fits the installed copy — the row now offers to open the app, when the Start menu has it, so it can update itself from inside (usually under Help or Settings › About). It sits beside Reinstall to update where a reinstall would also work, and on its own where it would not. The closing line of Update all groups these as "cannot be updated in place".
- Faster Check for updates. App Center no longer looks ahead at every listed update to guess which ones winget will refuse; that cost two winget processes per update after each refresh. A refused row says so when it happens and offers the way round.
- Fixed: opening the Manage page or a package's page just after launch started a second full read of the machine instead of waiting for the one already running, so the first list took twice as long to appear.
