HairHarpy 2.0.0

HairHarpy, formerly Stylized HairMesh Creator, is a full rewrite: no longer a browser app but C++ + Qt 6 + Vulkan. Heavy meshes with millions of triangles stay smooth, and there are no browser file-size limits. Old .hairmesh projects open, and the installer updates a previous installation in place.

What's new

• Two rooms. Hair builds hair from curves: cocoons, braids, crown, a collision capsule, symmetry. Topology is for retopology and modelling over a high-poly model: Poly Pen, snapping and its mask, polygroups, PatchTool, Topology Ghost / Reveal Brush. It also has UV: UV Editor, UV Sets, UV Mats.
• A new interface: a start screen with recent projects and the room choice; a toolbar with Tool Options; double and custom pie menus; the inspector; the key-press display.
• Linux version: an AppImage, or a tar.gz with install.sh. No root needed.
• Source available: this repository holds the full source of the program and the installer.

You need a graphics driver with Vulkan 1.1. Linux needs glibc 2.35+ (Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 12, Fedora 36 or newer) and X11 or XWayland. The Linux version is new: please report problems in Issues.
