ShellFlow 0.1.3
Choose where your tabs live.
New: tab position
- Side panel (new default) — tabs are stacked vertically in a panel on the left, one under the other. Switching tabs
slides the terminal up or down, following the tab's place in the list. - Title bar — tabs sit in the title bar as before, and switching slides sideways.
- Change it in Settings → Appearance → Tab position. It applies immediately, no restart needed.
Everything else works as before: drag to reorder, close buttons, pane counts, the exited-shell warning, colors and
themes.

ShellFlow 0.1.2
Run ShellFlow as administrator.
New: administrator windows
- New administrator window — press
Ctrl+Shift+F12, use the command palette, or the ⌄ menu next to +. After the
UAC prompt, an elevated ShellFlow window opens with the current shell and folder. - Explorer: right-click a folder, the empty space inside a folder, or a drive → Open ShellFlow here as
administrator. On.bat/.cmdfiles → Run as administrator in ShellFlow. (On Windows 11 these entries are
under Show more options, or Shift+right-click.) - The administrator window shows an Administrator badge in the title bar and is completely separate from your normal
window: Explorer launches never land in it by accident, it has its own workspace, and requests made "as administrator"
open as new tabs in it when it is already open. - Command line:
ShellFlow.exe --elevate [options].
Windows does not allow elevated and normal shells in the same window, so — like Windows Terminal — elevation always
opens a separate administrator window.

ShellFlow 0.1.1
A small update with batch-file support and an important installer fix. If you installed 0.1.0, please update.
New: run batch files in ShellFlow
- Right-click any
.bator.cmdfile → Run in ShellFlow (on Windows 11: Show more options). - Optional: turn on Settings → General → Open .bat and .cmd files with ShellFlow to run them on double-click.
- Each script runs in its own tab, in the script's folder. The tab stays open when it finishes and shows the exit code;
press Enter to run it again. If ShellFlow is already open, scripts open as new tabs in the same window. - Turning the option off, or uninstalling ShellFlow, restores Windows' normal behavior for batch files.
- Command line:
ShellFlow.exe --run <script.bat>.
Fixes
- Installer: upgrading over a different build could remove the bundled .NET runtime files, after which ShellFlow
asked to install the .NET Desktop Runtime. The installer now always copies every file, so upgrades are complete. - Tabs no longer show a warning badge for shells or scripts that ended successfully.

- Settings for theme (dark / light), accents, fonts, cursor, scrollback, shells and animations.
