Full Changelog: v0.5.2...v0.6.0

Version 0.6.0 Notes

  • Lua mods now apply as soon as you select Save changes in F2, no restart needed and applies live in games (disabled in Multiplayer)
  • Portable Mode: put an empty portable.txt next to rerevved.exe and your saves, settings and logs stay in a userdata folder beside the game
  • 17 new custom achievements worth 955G, shown in the new Custom tab in F3.
  • Textures that fail to load are now retried instead of showing stale content

Settings

  • Single-player games can now have up to 6 AI opponents. Multiplayer stays at 4.
  • One City Challenge now really stays at one city. Villages give 25 Gold instead of a Settler, and AI civilizations can no longer found extra cities in Fog of War
  • Reorganized the F1 Gameplay tab with clearer tooltips
  • New AI Handicaps: give AI civilizations a 0-200% bonus to Research, Production, Gold, Food and Culture
    • 100% halves AI research and production costs, 200% cuts them to a third
    • Your values are saved with each game, so loading a save restores them
  • Raging Barbarians: Barbarians can no longer capture a civilization's capital before 3000 BC
  • Earliest Domination now also applies to Game of the Week with Standard Rules
  • Game of the Week has new options:
    • Civilization: play the Game of the Week as the civilization you choose
    • Standard Rules now also turns Lua mods off for that game

Multiplayer

  • Fixed a lockup where resuming from pause could leave the host or a joining player stuck
  • The host's gameplay settings (AI count, AI Handicaps, Resources, Raging Barbarians, One City Challenge, Earliest Domination, Game of the Week, combat speed) now apply to everyone for that game, without changing anyone's own saved settings
  • Every player must have the same Lua mods, versions and load order. Otherwise the game shows "Cannot start this game" instead of desyncing.
  • Multiplayer relay invites that fail on start up now shows an error and the game continues offline, instead of failing silently

Gameplay Bugfixes (these are always on and were bugs in the actual game)

  • Ceremonial Burial grants a free temple on first discovery
  • Irrigation for Egypt applies the +1 free population if they are first with Medieval era discovery
  • Literacy no longer has a chance of granting a free Courthouse
  • +50% Gold generation Unique Era Ability no longer increases cost of rushing units/buildings/wonders
  • Zulu's Food Unique Era Ability no longer increases the amount of food needed for growing
  • Boat Fleet sale values are now correct (gold exploit)
