Version 0.7.0 Notes
Settings Page
- The native main menu's Options, and Change Options in game menus now open a full-screen page that works with a game pad or keyboard.
- Language: English, German, French, Spanish or Italian, using the game's own translations. Pick it in Settings > General, applies after a restart. The new ReRevved menus are translated too.
- Exit Game: the native in game menu has a new Exit Game button that quits straight to the desktop. Coming to the main menu in a future update.
- Skip Intro (Settings > General): skips the intro screens and the opening movie
- Spaceship Scenes: skip the rocket scene that plays for each spaceship part.
Map Packs
- ReRevved now ships six map packs with 39 new maps: Landmasses, Islands, Inland Water, Matchups, Climates and Real World.
- The packs start disabled. Turn one on in the Maps tab of the mod manager (F2) or in the new options menu, then restart, and its maps appear in Choose Scenario (WORKS IN MULTIPLAYER)
- You can also add your own map packs: each goes in its own folder under
maps/beside the executable. Rerevved Tools is releasing very soon and you'll be able to make your own maps
Included Map Packs:
- Landmasses: Pangaea, Continents, Small Continents, Oval, Fractal, Terra and Tilted Axis.
- Islands: Archipelago, Large Islands, Tiny Islands and Four Corners.
- Inland Water: Ring, Donut, Inland Sea and Lakes.
- Matchups: a mirrored duel and a 2v2 game on each of Skirmish, Hemispheres, North vs South and West vs East.
- Climates: Highlands, Arborea, Sandstorm, Ice Age, Frontier, Great Plains and Boreal, each heavy with its own terrain.
- Real World: Earth, Japanese Mainland, British Isles, Mediterranean, Americas, Europe, Africa, Australia and Caribbean.
- Every map supports up to 7 players except the Matchups maps, which are designed for a 2 player duel or two teams of 2.
New Game Settings (locked in when a game starts, in multiplayer everyone uses the host's values)
- Unit Movement: Normal, Fast or Instant unit animation.
- Turn Limit: move the 2100 AD end year to 2200, 2300 or 2500 AD, or remove it.
- Starting Era: start in the Medieval, Industrial, Modern or Future era, with the matching technologies and start year. Future starts with every technology, similar to Beta Centauri.
- Always At War: in single player, every civilization stays at war for the whole game and peace can never be made. Multiplayer and Game of the Week ignore it for now.
Multiplayer
- A host can add up to six AI civilizations when the game has room.
- AI Difficulty (Multiplayer) on the Online tab sets the AI to King (the game's default), Emperor or Deity.
Game of the Week
- Allow Saving (Gameplay > Game of the Week, off by default) a Game of the Week started with it on is a practice game. You can save and load it, but it never counts toward the weekly results and earns no Game of the Week achievements.
New Achievements
- 14 new custom achievements: there are now 31, worth 1615G. 200% Concentrated Power of Will rises to 250G.
- Every custom achievement now shows a picture from the game, read from your own game files, on the Achievements page, in F3 and in the unlock toast.
- Ye Are Idle, Ye Are Idle now needs an Ancient start. A later Starting Era, or a scenario that starts in a later era, could unlock it almost at once.
