How to compile:
This initial version of the game was created using the 0.5.1 pre-release version of the original PC project. Download the full Rust setup and Android Studio, then overwrite the files in the original project directory with the contents of my ZIP file. Read the included .txt file—it is in Portuguese, but you can translate it into English—and follow the step-by-step instructions to create your own test build.
For now, the app is in Portuguese because I’m Brazilian, but you’re welcome to translate it; I’ll be adding translations gradually in future versions.
My first test was on a POCO F7 (Snapdragon 8s Gen 4). The game currently still relies on DXT (BCn) texture compression. I haven’t tested it on my Xclipse GPU yet, but I know that on Mali and PowerVR—which, with very few exceptions, don’t support this format—it won’t run properly; please keep that in mind. The FPS is still quite poor. Everything involving Vulkan, multi-threading, GPU, RAM, Bevy, Rust, and so on for Android is being implemented bit by bit. I’m working on this port because I found OpenNV too slow and laborious to deal with—I’ll update that later—and I’ve found Rust much better to work with than C#, GDScript, or Godot’s mobile renderer.
