Requires Fabric Loader 0.15.11+ and Java 21. Fabric API is not needed.
Motion blur (1.21.11)
- Off by default. Turn it on in Mod Menu → VulkanFixes → Motion Blur (Experimental), with a Blur Strength slider (0.1–2). Without Mod Menu, edit
config/vulkanfixes.json. - Only turning the camera blurs; walking doesn't. The hand, held item and HUD always stay sharp.
- No frames are held back, so it adds no input latency. The streak length doesn't depend on your fps.
- Free while the camera is still or turning slowly. While turning, on Iris Xe at 1080p fullscreen it costs about 0.6–0.85 ms a frame (e.g. a fast 270°/s spin: 406 → ~315 FPS).
Other versions
The 1.21–1.21.10 jars are unchanged apart from the version number: they still carry only the sunset frame-drop fix.
Testing
Motion blur was tested in-game on 1.21.11 with VulkanMod 0.6.8. It's experimental, so if it looks wrong or fails, it turns itself off for the session and logs an error. Please open an issue with your log.
