v0.3.1
Self-update
haico can now update itself from GitHub releases.
haico --update
Checks the latest release, downloads the archive for your platform (Linux or Windows, x86_64), verifies it, and replaces the running binary in place. Then it exits.
$ haico --update
Checking for a newer haico than 0.3.1...
Downloading haico-v0.3.2-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip (8.5 MB)...
Updated haico 0.3.1 to 0.3.2. Release notes: https://github.com/Revertron/Haico/releases/tag/v0.3.2
- Prereleases are never installed.
- If haico lives somewhere you can't write to (
/usr/local/bin,Program Files), it says so. Run it again withsudoor as administrator. - A build that is newer than the latest release (built from source) is left alone.
Update notice
About 20 seconds after an interactive session starts, haico checks GitHub once. If a newer release is out, the right end of the bar above the input box says so:
○ ready ↑ v0.3.2 available: haico --update
Network errors and GitHub's rate limit are silent. The check doesn't run with -p, --server, --gui or piped input.
To turn it off, add this to config.toml:
check_updates = falseUpgrading from 0.3.0
0.3.0 doesn't have --update, so download this release once by hand. From here on, haico --update does it.
