ReSys12 v0.1.282: Namco System 12 arcade emulator for PS Vita.

Changes

  • Two players and external controllers. Controls now has a 1P Controller and a 2P Controller page. Each one
picks the player's device (Auto, Vita, Controller 1-4 or None) and sets that device's buttons, analog stick, turbo
and combo keys. Left / Right on the 1P Controller or 2P Controller row changes the device. The 2P page shows up
while a second device is connected.
  • Button setups belong to the device. The Vita, a DualShock 4, a Switch Pro Controller and so on each keep their
own buttons, so a controller keeps its setup when it moves between 1P and 2P. Per-game settings work the same way.
Old settings files are read once and their 1P buttons are copied to every device.
  • Press to set a key. Confirm on a key row, then press the button. Only the player's own device is read. Square
sets a row to None where that is allowed. Controllers have L2, R2, L3 and R3 as keys of their own.
  • Combo keys can be any of Square, Triangle, Cross, Circle, L, R, L2, R2, L3 and R3, picked as a first key and
    a second key.
  • Input engine (Controls > Input engine):
    • Native (default): the Vita's own controls and the controllers the system supports. Use this unless you need
      one of the others.
    • RePad: for Bluetooth pads the Vita does not accept, such as the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and pads in
Switch Pro mode, or a DualShock 4 / DualSense on a handheld Vita. The RePad
plugin comes with the app; nothing to install. Pair the pad in Settings > Devices > Bluetooth Devices.
    • VitaControl: offered when that plugin is in your plugin list. Enough if only 1P uses a controller.
Switching to or from it restarts the Vita (the app asks first).
  • Touch buttons: a button can press two keys at once (Combo), and Duplicate copies a button with its size and
key. Done in the layout editor now returns to the menu at once.
  • Game list scrolls at a steady 60 fps (rows are drawn once and moved by the GPU).
  • Every menu row has a short help line at the bottom; long ones scroll.

Requirements

Requires ur0:data/external/libshacccg.suprx (runtime shader compiler). The first start after installing restarts
the app once (it loads its kernel module). Versions from v0.1.222 on can be updated from inside the app.

The package contains the emulator only. No ROMs or game artwork are included. Provide MAME compatible ROM sets of
games you own. See the README for the game list and build instructions.
