Improvements
- Paste Settings applies the copied groups to every selected local photo, including virtual copies, while keeping the active photo and selection. Looks retain their strength. One undo or redo restores the whole batch; failures report recovery and sidecar write problems.
Bug fixes
- Select Object correctly recognizes installed AI models, including downloads made during the current session, fixing loading errors and repeated downloads.
- Linux AppImages use compatible system WebKitGTK with GBM disabled on NVIDIA/X11, fixing the startup failure and slow rendering seen on Mint. Wayland and other GPUs keep bundled WebKitGTK 2.54.2. Automatic selection falls back to the bundle if needed; environment switches override the WebKit selection and enable or disable GBM.
Installing
These builds are not signed with a developer certificate, so each system warns when Immage is opened for the first time. Updates after that install from inside Immage, without the warning.
- macOS (Apple Silicon, macOS 15 or newer): open
Immage-0.41.1-macOS-arm64.dmgand drag Immage to Applications. Open it once; when macOS says it cannot check it, go to System Settings › Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. Or, in Terminal:xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Immage.app - Windows (x64): run
Immage-0.41.1-Windows-x64-setup.exe. When SmartScreen stops it, click More info, then Run anyway - Linux (x86-64, glibc 2.35 or newer, such as Ubuntu 22.04 or Linux Mint 22.x): make
Immage-0.41.1-Linux-x86_64.AppImageexecutable (chmod +x Immage-0.41.1-Linux-x86_64.AppImage) and run it - Linux (ARM64, glibc 2.35 or newer, such as Ubuntu 22.04 or Linux Mint 22.x): make
Immage-0.41.1-Linux-arm64.AppImageexecutable (chmod +x Immage-0.41.1-Linux-arm64.AppImage) and run it
Immage checks for a new version once a day (Preferences › About › Updates), and offers to install it.
Known issues
- Linux on Wayland with fractional scaling (125%, 150%, ...): the web view Immage is built on draws such a window at 200% and the desktop shrinks it. Immage renders the photo for the screen's own scale while a slider moves, but the photo after you let go, and the window itself, are still drawn at 200%, so letting go is slower than at 100%. On some computers frames also take longer to reach the window at 200%. At 100% scaling, or started with
GDK_BACKEND=x11, it is about as fast as elsewhere
