Komorebi 0.4.0

First public release of Komorebi, a small, fast, free and open-source email client for Windows 10 and 11.

Highlights

• IMAP and SMTP with a local SQLite cache, multiple accounts, an All inboxes view, and a native HTML reader.
• A new first-run and Add account flow.
• A composer with formatting (fonts, sizes, colours, lists, links, quotes, simple tables) and named signatures.
• Message tabs, a collapsible folder pane, and message windows.
• Windows notifications for new mail, a tray icon, and optional start with Windows.
• Clearer read and unread rows, an Important marker, and sender importance (high and low).
• Updates from GitHub, checked on request or once a day, installed only when you press Download and install, and verified with a SHA-256 hash and an Ed25519 signature.
• English and European Portuguese. No AI, no telemetry. Licence: GPL-3.0-or-later.

Install

Download komorebi-0.4.0-setup.exe and run it (per-user by default, no administrator rights needed). The installer is not code-signed with a certificate yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn; choose More info, then Run anyway. You can check the file before running it:

Notes

Mail cached by earlier development builds is cleared and downloaded again on first start. Drafts, accounts, settings and signatures are kept. See CHANGELOG.md for details and README.md for the full feature list.
