Release list
Komorebi 0.7.0
Komorebi 0.7.0 adds rules, contacts and a calendar, plus new security options. It also includes the changes planned for 0.6.0, which was never published.
What is new
- Rules. Settings > Rules: per-account, ordered rules that move, delete to Trash, mark read, mark important or stop, applied to new Inbox mail while Komorebi runs. An activity list shows what happened, and Copy as Sieve puts the rules on the clipboard. No rule sends mail.
- Contacts. A local address book with groups, a Contacts view, and recipient suggestions from contacts first. Optional CardDAV sync per account (off by default, read only or read and write).
- Calendar. Month, week, day and agenda views, event creation and editing, and optional CalDAV sync with conflict handling. Accepting a meeting invitation adds the event. Optional event reminders as Windows notifications while Komorebi runs (off by default).
- Certificate pinning. Pin the exact certificate, the server key, or the issuing CA. SMTP honours the pin too.
- SMTP without sign-in for local relays, per account (TLS stays required).
- Encrypted mail cache (optional, off by default): AES-256-GCM with a key only your Windows user can unlock.
- Smaller download. The installer is about 8.8 MB.
Install and update
Download komorebi-0.7.0-setup.exe and run it, or use Settings > About > Check for updates in 0.5.0. The installer is not code-signed with a certificate yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn; choose More info, then Run anyway.
SHA-256 of the installer: 62aad84058b84aabb78d424ece398207a3c1f9907d3d7b1b190962999c3b3a06
Notes
Caches created by unreleased development builds are not upgraded. If you only used releases, nothing changes in your mail. See CHANGELOG.md for details.
Komorebi 0.5.0
Komorebi 0.5.0 adds recipient chips, composer windows, mailto: links, editing drafts saved on other devices, and a round of composer and reader polish.
What is new
- Recipients as chips. To, Cc and Bcc turn addresses into chips (comma, semicolon, Enter or leaving the field); wrong addresses show in the error style; remove, select and copy chips with the keyboard.
- Composer in its own window. Ctrl+O on a composer or a draft opens it in a window of its own; closing saves the draft, Send and Undo send work from it, and several windows can be open at once.
mailto:links. Choose Komorebi under Settings > Default apps and a mail link opens a prefilled composer, in the running copy if there is one. Nothing is ever sent by itself.- Drafts from other devices. Edit a message in the server's Drafts folder to continue it here; saving replaces the server copy.
- Composer polish. Formatted copy and cut (HTML and plain text), arrow keys in the colour flyout, a caret that blinks at the Windows rate, and a length note for screen readers on long messages. In the dark theme a dark logo in a dimmed message gets a light plate.
- Windows 11 look. Dark native menus, the text size follows the Windows slider at once, a sliding navigation pill, a custom ComboBox with contrast colours, and a gentler onboarding entrance.
- Updates and installer. A silent update starts Komorebi again afterwards, the app quits when the installer asks even from the tray, and the update check is tested end to end.
- Providers. Postale.io was checked against a live account: sign-in, capabilities, authentication results and the IDLE behaviour match what the app assumes.

Komorebi 0.4.1
Update release for Komorebi 0.4.0.
Changes
- Settings > About shows real download progress (megabytes done of the total) when an update is installed.
- The release notes link and buttons in the update card line up with the card text.
- A new account's first sync stays silent: no burst of notifications for old mail.
- The release workflow on GitHub is manual only; signed releases are published by hand.
- Steadier tests: the reader debounce test and the TLS password test no longer depend on the wall clock.
Install
Download komorebi-0.4.1-setup.exe and run it, or use Settings > About > Check for updates in 0.4.0. The installer is not code-signed with a certificate yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn; choose More info, then Run anyway.
