Snapir Design X 1.4.6 - The box in the bathroom
Some bathrooms have a boxed-in cistern or pipe chase standing on the floor,
about a metre and a bit high. The surveyor shoots the corners of its flat top
at one height, and the floor shots round its foot make the floor outline jog in
around it.
What went wrong
The jog is right at the floor and wrong above the box. Built as surveyed, the
box became a pillar from floor to ceiling, even though the room is as wide as
ever above it. Fixing that took a hand-drawn ring and a handful of dropped
points in every bathroom that had one.
What happens now
Shots at one height, spread over a real area, with every corner against a wall,
are read as the top of a raised box and given the new role ledge. The room is
then built full width above the box: the wall behind it is rebuilt, the box
stands to its top, and the air above it is opened up.
The guess only acts where the old build was wrong. It claims a box only when its
top lies outside the floor outline, at most a quarter of it inside. Across the
five surveys, 47 rooms, that is exactly three rooms and all three are this
cistern: Genel banyo, Banyo 2 kat and Kız çocuk banyo. Every other room
parses exactly as before.
A flat top inside the outline is not guessed at. It is built right as it is and
could as well be a vanity or a bath deck, so it waits to be named. Top of a raised box is in the role picker for that: name the shots and the box is built
as a solid from the floor up.
Nothing is moved. The shots are the same shots, only with a role, and the room
says in its issue list which ones were taken and why. Name them as unknown
and the guess lets go.
Not done
- Service points on the face of the box, and a socket above it, are not seated
on the box. They behave as they did. - The Android build is not part of this release.
