Beta 0.3
Adds PICO headsets to the same APK. Everything else is unchanged from Beta 0.2.
PICO support (experimental, untested)
One build now runs on both families:
- Controllers: the PICO 4 and PICO Neo 3 profiles are offered alongside Meta Touch. A runtime takes the ones it knows and ignores the rest.
- Picture orientation: the upside-down fix used a Meta-only extension. Where it is missing, the emulator draws the frame flipped itself instead.
- Manifest:
pvr.app.type=vr, how PICO OS recognises a VR app, and PICO/ByteDance devices now enter VR mode.
This has never run on PICO hardware. It is written from the OpenXR specification and PICO's documented requirements. One thing cannot be settled without a device: whether the PICO runtime implements XR_KHR_android_surface_swapchain, which the whole display path depends on. If it does not, the app will say "VR mode unavailable" on a PICO and the approach needs rethinking for that platform.
Reports from PICO owners are very welcome. The first run answers it: adb logcat -s ARMSX2-XR shows either the session starting and which controller profiles were accepted, or the missing extension by name.
Install
adb install -r ARMSX2-3D-0.3-beta.apk, or install over Beta 0.1/0.2 — same signing key, settings kept.
Signed with the Android debug key, as this is a personal beta.
