RaidTools v3.0 — Public Release

What is RaidTools?

A full-featured raid management addon for WoW 1.12 (OctoWow / TurtleWoW).
Covers everything needed to recruit, organise, and run a PUG raid.

Installation

1. Download RaidTools.zip below
2. Extract it — you get a folder named RaidTools
3. Move the RaidTools folder into World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns/
4. Launch WoW and enable RaidTools in the addon list
5. Type /rt to open the panel

Note: The folder must stay named RaidTools — do not rename it.

What's new in v3.0

Spec detection & Auto-roles

• One-click Auto-roles button in the Roster tab
• RaidTools users reply silently via addon-to-addon comms (SPECREQ/SPEC)
• Everyone else gets a class-specific whisper (e.g. Warrior → Arms / Fury / Prot?)
• Incoming replies automatically fill the roster and set the role

WhisperBot — PUG hub

• Multi-channel LFM posting (Say / Yell / Guild / World / LFG) with slot tracking
• Comp announce — broadcasts current group composition to raid
• Auto replies to whisper commands: ?join, ?role, ?spec, ?group, ?mt, ?strat, ?comp

Boss strategies

• 100+ English boss strategies imported from tactica
• Covers: Molten Core, BWL, ZG, AQ20/40, Naxxramas, World Bosses, Onyxia, OctoWow custom content
• Inline lookup via WhisperBot ?strat

Group optimiser

• Smart group builder: Windfury melee groups, caster groups, dedicated heal groups
• Max 1 Shaman per group, Hunters in melee groups (Trueshot Aura), Pala Holy preferred in heal groups
• Per-group buff summary (Windfury, Devotion, LoTP, Trueshot Aura, Shadow Weaving…)

Full English UI

• Every string, tooltip, button label, and chat message in English
• Ready for any English-speaking WoW 1.12 server
