v0.8.1
Global hotkeys, working podcast pages, and a set of playback fixes.
New features
- Global hotkeys for play/pause, next/previous, volume, mute, seek, shuffle,
repeat and showing the window, set under Settings ▸ Global Hotkeys. Off by
default. Bindings need Ctrl, Alt or Super (F-keys excepted), and on Wayland
they only fire where the compositor passes keys to X11 apps. (#283) - The Podcasts chip on home is back, with its episode carousels shown as
shelves and the show named as the artist. (#286)
Improvements
- Loudness normalization now lifts quiet tracks by up to +6 dB toward the
target instead of only turning loud ones down, with a limiter on boosted
tracks so the peaks cannot clip. (#237, #290)
Bug fixes
- Saved podcast shows and Saved Episodes opened empty. They now list their
episodes, with lengths in the same form as other rows. (#286) - Turning off "Autoplay similar songs" still queued a radio after playing a
song from search. (#238) - Song cards on home, in search and in the player bar were missing
"Go to album". (#253) - A video with dubbed audio could play in a dubbed language. The original
track is now chosen first, in the rustypipe fallback too.
New contributors
- @peresew3734: built the global hotkeys system in #283.
macOS: the app is signed ad-hoc, so Gatekeeper says it "is damaged". Clear it with xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/limusic.app.
On Linux only the AppImage self-updates. The .rpm is a normal package, so rpm users install a new rpm.
