Smooth typing

  • Typing stays smooth while an agent streams long code: code is highlighted in cached pieces, so a 1,500-line block no longer freezes the prompt.
  • The / and @file pickers stay fast in big projects (20,000 files: about 1 ms per key).

Debug log, to help us fix what you hit

  • On by default. It records errors, crashes, freezes, agent messages codemax doesn't understand, and numbers for each turn (timings, tool counts, tokens).
  • It never records your messages, the agents' replies or tool output. Error lines can name files or commands, so skim the file before sending.
  • /debug export writes one file to send us; /debug off turns it off.
