Sniffing Readmes

Scan for popular stupid model names in the readme, or certain phrases. We can't be perfect but we can try.

Adding Agents

Get

Once you have a name of a bot, to get its ids https://api.github.com/users/:name. There will be two ids present:

  1. Account ID (obvious)
  2. Integration ID - this can be found via the avatar url for the account (for real, yes)

If the account is not an integration, you'll find the integration id == account id.

If the bot account is "private" that means it's only used within an org. We don't bother tracking those unless there's no other sign of AI usage on a slop project.

You may, at very worst case, have to actually install the integration to get the id. There's no other way to find it.

As such, Socks has started KILLMONGERAI, a honeypot (meaning it doesn't use AI, but attracts AI agents) that can have integrations installed into it such that the ids can be exposed (ids only appear at the end of install). So far, has not needed to be used.

Find

Check the github marketplace. Anything over 4k installs has a chance to survive. Anything less will likely die.

  • This list - the big bumpin list, has all the popular agents. Really only the first and second page are the most important - most agents added from first page already
  • This too - apps mostly have less than 900 installs
